i would be fasicinated to know how bad they were.

and that sounds like it must have been the deal breaker for JJ, as he kept turning disney down (i'd speculate due to the state of the scripts/treatments).

Oh man, modern hardware would punt out an amazing trench run game.

They're obviously very excited about that cabinet but we're beyond 2D screens now, so to me that cabinet is already dated and irrelevant. No matter how curved it is, it's still a 2D image a few feet from your face. Which is pretty weak and nothing to get excited about once you've seen the alternative.

A properly developed VR Star Wars game would be fun, but this just looks like the same games from 15 years ago with a curved screen.

I've used this machine (a fighter jet version, not the Star Wars version, but frankly it looks exactly the same-the control mechanism and controls are the same bits by the looks of things) and you'd be surprised by just how immersive it is. You sit about a foot away from the screen and its massive, like 7 foot tall or something. It also wraps right around to the point where you can't see the sides of the screen without moving your head significantly. I can't see 3D or VR but this, as a 2D experience is really impressive and I'd love to play a Star Wars version. Though I have to say, it did make me feel a bit dizzy at first because of the frenetic motion of the game combined with the feeling of both being 'in' the screen and literally in a pod.

EDIT: this machine:

She's really good in Orphan Black.

The discussion around the spin off is predictably lacking imagination though. Boba Fett's daughter! Or Fett is just a name passed down to the next person wearing the armour! FETT. GOT TO HAVE A MOVIE ABOUT FETT (or his armour). FEEEETTTTTTTTT.

Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany has supposedly landed the lead role in the first spin-off film:

Never heard of her, but she looked both pretty and 16. Had to google to make sure I wasn't a creep. Born a half year before me and just taking better care of herself .

Seems like that was a bit of false alarm and Felicity Jones got the part now.

Well, she was great on the Archers... i kid, she is a pretty special talent, was bound to get a big role like this if she wanted it. Surprised it took this long, and the fact they she is older than me.

Pretty much all the young leads in the new SW films are English aren't they?
