Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Two extremes of the nerd stereotype coin, Star Trek fans with their slavish devotion to every detail as it was portrayed on screen and Star Wars fans with their slavish devotion to a load of imaginary detail they generally made up amongst themselves.

They just land on the wings I reckon. If they're strong enough to pull the maneuvers we've seen them pull in atmosphere then they can hold the weight of the cockpit between them. That said, in rebel assault 2 you can clearly see that the Phantom tie has to land on a special pedestal.

Those are astonishing, will have to try and get prints of some. You can see some became direct shots in the film. The Ewok tents made of wood towards the end are how they appear in one of the theme parks in SWG. Also, I didn't realize he'd done concept art for Coruscant.

The lava cave and 'Coruscant' - which was just known as the Imperial capitol, or Had Abaddon appear in various drafts of ROTJ. Same goes for the two unfinished Death Stars orbiting the planet in one image

Is there anywhere good to read about the differences between the drafts and the final versions in detail? Google is just giving me a review of them all and individual articles.

And if you just want a book with most (I'm not sure they're all there) of those pictures in it, plus a few more, I recommend this:

You can ignore the "text by Kevin J Anderson" which mainly tries to retcon the concept art into being consistent with the actual films.
