How old are you guys? I wish my childhood had known the infinite joy of proper Star Wars toys instead of car boots, then ludicrously muscular 90's Special Edition figures, then prequel shit, then horribly overpriced collectors figures.

I remember starting to collect the 90's Power of the force figs (red cards) with the intention of keeping them in their boxes until they were worth something. I was working in Asda at the time and would pick them up after my shift. I still have them in my loft but I don't think they are worth an awful lot (apart from maybe monkey face Leia who I do own).

Huh....so, I was watching an artist on yt doing a design critique of the trailer, and he pointed out something I hadnt noticed on the new xwing.

We saw that old leaked set prop months ago showing the lower profile split-engine, right? Well, side on it also looks like they staggered the top/bottom wings asymmetrically, so they're.....I dunno, more like a pair of scissors I guess. Looks a bit odd now and I cant unsee it.

We were too poor for many fancy toys, so didn't have much stuff like that. But one day my mum came home with a shopping trolley packed absolutely full of second hand toys. Star wars figures, AT STs and an AT AT for me and action man figures and vehicles for my brother. I never asked her what she did to get them but I'm sure it was totally worth it.

Just showed my 5 and 2 year old the first film. Couldn't get my 2 year old to sit through it, and my 5 year old fell asleep during the trench run (but she loves Darth Vader, as long as we periodically acknowledge there's a nice chap in the suit).

Anyway, someone commented on the Falcon engines on the new teaser, saying you shouldn't be able to see the engine bits. Watch the scene where the Falcon blasts out of Mos Eisley (DVD version), that's where it's from. You can see the nozzles or whatever before he opens the throttle.

Mum flogged my vast collection for peanuts, about the time we also sold my Spectrum collection. Strewth.

Tell me about it, although I think ours were given away!! All we have left is two or three figures that my brother nabbed years ago...no Falcon, no AT ATs, speeders etc etc. Sad times.

Are the carded figs on original backs or repros? The ratio of them just looks a bit odd.

We moved house a few months back, and I forgot just how much stuff I had, and my wife was horrified. For the past 8 or 9 years its all been up in the loft, all boxed up, but she'd never been up there and didn't realise just how much was up there. And now it's sitting in a different loft, all boxed up.....
