Star Wars: The Force Awakens

So, Thrawn: Cake Fee?

The expanded universe's greatest enemy passive aggressively refuses to settle the bill for the Death Star 2's launch party desert on the grounds it was vaporised.

As if. Passive aggression is only a thing on the MUK. It's not real.

I'm sure I posted my views on this way earlier in this thread. I'm going to enjoy pulling up my thoughts on this in the future. As of right now;

People will gush about the teaser, "THAT is how you do a teaser!" because they will ultimately be comparing it to the Jurassic Park teaser as it's fresh in their memories. People will like that it's a bit gritty, dark and moody. People will be like 'J.J gets it!! J.J understands!'. It will come out, everyone will go on about how great it is. Ultimately though, it's just going to be another well produced blockbuster. Like Star Trek. Then the sequel will come out and people will realize it's a bit bland but try and hide the truth about the first film by declaring that the first one is much better. This new take on Star Wars WILL be much much better than the last 3 films but it won't be fondly remembered after a year of release.

Then people will disagree in the thread for the next J.J. film and say that the first Star Trek was great.

Because it was.

Both the opening scenes of the Star Trek films are excellent and there is patchy goodness throughout them even Into Darkness. It'll come down to the script I think. If there is a great script I think Abrams will pull it off. But I suspect we'll get a retread of Empire but - wait for it - Luke now does the "I am Your Father" line. And has magic blood.

I fell asleep in the cinemas watching JJ's first Star Trek film. It was proper shite.

Not too sure about the Saber-sword, looked silly whereas Maul's saber was instantly cool but I'll admit that the Falcon blasting by with the theme blaring was great. Boyega and Ridley also look the part and the new droid looks suitably retro.

Sad that none of the original cast got a look in but I suppose they're being held back for the trailer, not the teaser.

Is that Cumberbatch doing the voice over btw?
