Just watched episode 3 of Star Wars rebels and they have a toy in it I got for Christmas in 1979... A troop transport that's never appeared anywhere else! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414083436.374858.jpg

Yep, confirmed on the Wook:

I wonder if we will see a lot more of this kind of stuff being used in Rebels. Didn't they have the Star Tours droid in the previous episode?

Makes sense if Disney want to salvage some box office from the god-awful looking 'Into The Woods'; it'll be 'A Bug's Life'/'Wing Commander' all over again.

Assuming they can keep it from leaking onto the internet. If it does leak, I hope they have the sense to handle it the way Marvel did with the 'Avengers 2' trailer.

Can I just point out that that was the first sodding Star Wars toy I got when I was little. I remember being utterly, utterly upset discovering that all the figures shown on the front of the box weren't actually in the box.

It put me off Star Wars toys for a very long time...I went back to Lego.

Star Wars toys cloaks were made of real material though.

Most of mine were made of some kind of vinyl stuff. Vader had a three-quarter-length cape.

My Emperor figure was solid plastic, no material involved anywhere! He had articulate legs, but when you moved one of them forward or back they separated on a flat line that bisected his solid cloak.

Ah, here he is:

Anybody else seen the concept art leaks from yesterday, very interesting.

This is apparently Adam Drivers character, Driver does look a lot like the hugely popular character Revan

And I thought they'd have trouble thinking of fucking stupid lightsaber designs for these movies.

I'm not claiming that being Jewish makes me better placed to detect subtle Jewish stereotypes or slurs in films (although it probably does) but Watto always came across as a lazy Italian stereotype to me, at least as far as his voice was concerned. I've never heard a Jew speak in a voice that sounds anything like Watto's. Which just leaves Watto's selfish, greedy, slave-master personality for viewers to base their interpretations on; the fact that people (including your good self, it seems) might be able to link those traits with being Jewish really bothers me.

Its definitly a stereotypical film new york based "foreign" Jewish man, Im not for a minute suggesting the stereotype is accurate.

If the bits you mean are just parts of the metal hilt illuminated by the blade, then that is a cool design. If on the other hand they're little minisabers then it's beyond ridiculous. Fingers crossed it's the former - and to be fair, everything else we've seen so far looks spot-on.

The Marvel event and Avengers trailer has genuinely taken all my enthusiasm this week. I'm really looking forward to what Marvel bring out.

Episode VII onwards on the other hand..... I'm a child of the original trilogy and love it to bits but just can't bring myself to be hyped about this in the slightest.

I'm sat here looking at a mini Millennium Falcon lego model on my desk and then that stupid cross lightsaber concept art shit whilst wishing that they'd just call it a day with milking this cash cow to death.

I bet that as soon as there's a teaser trailer I'll be all excited again though.

Rumour stuff (not new rumours, talking about existing one)

So there's a rumour that Luke's gone over to the Dark Side and turns out to be this Inquisitor dude or something? Or a villain behind the scenes, whatever. I hope not, because it fucks up the end of RotJ really. But if it's true, how's that going to work? He defeats the two evilest dudes ever, and resists massive temptation to give in to the negative stuff, and then a few years later he's just like, fuck it, I'll give the dark side a go, whoahohoa, it's awesome!

And then he goes to Endor and digs up Vader's helmet and like, looks at it for a while.

It's all related to the discovery that the Emperor was actually a puppet of the SUPER EMPEROR who is like the original one but 80 feet tall with a lightsaber for a penis.

Almost as believable as 'we are building another Death Star because the first one was so successful' ;)
