Just played the demo (briefly) Amazing scenes. Properly mental! (I've not played Bayonetta before.... so wasn't prepared for the over-the-top-ness of it all!)

Gratuitous bum shots while fighting on the back of a jet fighter FTW! :)

This has GOTY written all over it.

Such a good demo: short but focused and teaches the basics well, unlike the insane W101 demo. The level was great, beautiful, fast and paced really well and all with the trademark Platinum insanity.

Not played Bayonetta 1, but looking forward to it immensely. That double-pack was a great idea.

Bloody hell... mind blown, it looks and plays stunningly well. Probably the most spectacular thing I've played all year.

The Wii U showing off it's technical chops too. Plenty of nice effects, a smooth (60fps?) frame rate and some amazing environments. Yeah, this could quite easily walk away with GOTY.

Wait; what? You can't tell if something's 60fps or not?! Better get yourself to the nearest Specsavers - or Hans Anders in your case ;)

Really though, as great a spectacle as it is, crucially it controls so well. Even in this short taster, you instantly get the feeling that everything is just a bit tighter. If anything, the window for pulling off witch time felt a little more generous than before, either that or the old reflexes have stayed honed from my previous 3 go throughs of the original. It felt like slipping into an old pair of slipper though, from the combo screens, to the outlandishness of it all, everything feels slicker and more vibrant.
