Today's deal is DisneyFantasia for £21 includes 3 dlc remix bundles of tracks already in the game.

Also Dance Central Spotlight for £4 (50% off)

Sunset Overdrive is still available for £22.50. If you click on Countdown to 2015 then scroll right to past game offers. Child of Light & Dragon Age are back up to their full price so it looks like these offers are only around for 2 or 3 days at most.

Sleeping Dogs is still £20 but it's included in the week long deals anyway which run another day or two ( not sure )

Fantasia on disc is £12 in store at Game minus the remix dlc.

Genuinely don't know how this kind of horseshit only garners one negative response and zero negs. It's really embarrassing to see gamers, nay consumers taking this line. Unbelievable.

Horseshit?

How does saying a UI is shit help anybody - I was genuinely saying go and help them.

Trying to rally up people to give me negs is mental.

Stop being a cunt smitty and get a grip.

No need for the insults though...

I agree with most of the criticisms - the game saying ready to start when it means ready to sit on the title screen and install more shit. The UI being really nested and tricky to find stuff. Massive day one patches etc

People jumped on Smitty saying yeah yeah, just get on with it when they are valid criticisms, if it was someone else it would have probably gone smoother I imagine.

I agree with the criticisms, and I've some that nobody has even mentioned.

My point is more about doing something about it, rather than just speak about it again and again; on forum that nobody who can action change will take note of.

Nearly 34 and just bored with the negativity everywhere, not just on here. Might be trying to push the opposite a bit much here though - and it always ends up in a little scuffle over not much.

Sorry for being a positive friendly twat all the time.

I'm sure he's applying for computing/design courses at top Universities as we speak. After 3 years he can then progress to a Masters. Then he can apply like mad to MS for a low level job. After moving country, despite struggling with crippling student debts, he puts in years and years of hard work in the hope he might finally work himself up to a senior position in the division responsible for UI in the face of fierce competition, and be able to make some suggestions in a meeting. 'That was certainly worth it because, as a customer, I had some criticisms with a product I purchased and dared to express them' he thinks.

Don't you think that the internet in general tends to be overly negative about everything though? Gets tedious and draining sometimes. People tend to only post stuff when things go wrong or don't work guess its just the nature of things.?

Anyway... couldn't get to play my games yesterday but on a more positive note spent a bundle of more time building Lego with the nippers and playing on their Nintendo 2DS's had a riot....

Sure Live will be back up at some point and I'll figure out and set my console to be the master one and all will be good.

Anyway hope everyone is having a great Christmas and getting their new toys working.... half the fun of getting a new console is figuring things out and pressing buttons and seeing what they do and what happens... part of the journey of discovery TBH... however if your new to it all can see how it can be confusing or coming from a 360. Change gets more difficult as you get older (as you expect things to work a certain way) go with the flow and become a child again.... have fun.... you can't break anything by pressing buttons....

What? You were genuinely saying that anyone criticizing the UI should go and get a job at Microsoft to fix it? That's a great bit of advice, well done. There's being positive and then there's just being silly.

My original comment was in response to no criticisms at all - just that both console UI designs were 'shit'.

For what it's worth, my design partner left a few years ago, with no formal design training and is now a senior UI guy at Skype. It's not that hard to get good roles anywhere.

So he's responsible for the abomination that Skype on the PC has become? He should probably keep that quiet. Every update they hide functionality and add more padding, random spacing and blue colours.

And there's being literal, yet the fact remains that there are things people can do to help a company make a product better. Am I being silly about this?

But yep, Skype is a bag of bollocks no doubt about it.

Funnily enough, I know someone who did exactly that, and works on the Xbox team. Don't think it's UI related though, I mostly see pictures of him skiing up near Canada.

Edit - nrgh, Skype. If I call someone on iOS, using Skype on my surface pro 3, the camera crashes. Load of buggy shite, these days.

Nice^ :)

This gets to my point of ways people can make it all better - your friend is actually on the team. Instead of people saying how shit it is, maybe the discussion could be about how it could be better could be passed on this way and actually be heard.

Also, looks like MS have a lot of roles available https://www.linkedin.com/job/microsoft/ui-designer-jobs/

Get your CVs together peeps!

No, you saying that people should get a job at Microsoft to fix it is silly. Submitting feedback from the preview program isn't, but then you didn't actually say that did you? You claim that half assed "this is shit" posts annoy you but your response was a single line about how the person complaining should get a job at Microsoft to fix it. Oh, but you're not a hypocrite you're just being positive. I see.

Complain about one line posts that don't offer anything constructive. Then, in response to one, make a one line post yourself offering the helpful advice that the person complaining should get a job at Microsoft to fix it.
