Factor in the xbox live is soooooo much faster to download stuff compared to PSN though....

Last gen, yup. This gen - no, not at all. If you include the fact you can play partial downloads then PS4 is much the faster, at least for me. Watchdogs, for instance, was playable in around half an hour which was pretty sweet.

Whoever was talking said Bungie left the franchise dying on a table. Cheeky of 343 to put their name on the front of that.

Yeah — that's what I thought. Especially 20 secs later when they show the announcement of H2 MP not being altered at all. Still — amazing video!

Is it still as easy to buy stuff from us store it did they clamp down?

It was something like

Buy gift card from somewhere (or was it loading PayPal)

Change region in settings to US

Redeem giftcard

Purchase stuff on store(it shows US prices now)

Switch back to UK region

Does it keep credit balances seperate for when you are set to US region or UK?

And do some games lock you to US servers if you downloaded U S version?

Any other downsides?

Yeah piece of piss. Use gametimezone for the credit codes to up your account. I didn't change the region of my console just Xbox.com - buy game on the website and it just downloads itself.

But as soon as you sign in on xbox.com it changes region to UK and £'s.

They've actually opened it up again now. I added my paypal account to it this morning to buy some Pinball FX stuff.

Still can't get the PayPal f*cker to work myself. Last purchase that way was Titanfall. Would have loved to pick up Diablo off the US store.

I'm all for a digital future and I am one of the stupid few who would be happy to pay a small (£5?) premium for that. But a £15 difference between Game and Amazon's prices and the Xbox Store isn't a premium it's a joke.

I can't see anywhere obvious where you manage game saves.

Does it automatically save them to HD and sync with cloud

(360 you have to tell it you want a save in the cloud)

I think it all goes into the cloud - I recently had my whole HDD replaced and all my game saves were there when I downloaded my game catalogue again

Saves locally and syncs with the cloud. If your local game save is more recent than the cloud data (e.g. internet problems), it will ask you if you want to update the cloud saves for whatever titles might need an update when you connect to the net again.
