Forget it. Not agreeing 100% with what the mob thinks at all times is obviously the wrong way to go. I'll remove all my posts now.

That's a shame, because yours was the one interesting post.

This is what Microsoft have been driving at since 2001, it's just a shame that its now twisted into a defensive play against Apple, and its predicated on a technology "live TV" that's swiftly becoming irrelevant. So irrelevant that windows now ships without support for TV tuners, and the real next generation stream everything on demand.

Our personal tastes are irrelevant, like trying to provide a TV guide app and a few tv widgets in a marketplace where the TV probably already contains a widget engine, and no-ones using those either because web browsing isn't a six-eight feet experience,

More gifs. I need to fend off people on Facebook who are complete loons that spout nonsense like "Yeah Microsoft wants to make more money so they don't just put out a device that only does one thing, it needs to do everything in order to stay relevant".

It has to be more than that surely? What about switching channels, accessing on demand, recording and playback. It's supposed to collate all those things into one place.

Won't it just control those things via HDMI CEC? It's how I currently control my PVR and BLURAY player via only the TV remote.

Woah, woah, woah. Cool your jets there, hotshot.

Ain't nothing wrong with the Vita. Apart from it not selling...

The Vita is awesome! Incredible even. I can't praise it enough.

Just from a business perspective there was never a market for it.The power means higher game development costs at a time when every developer in the country had just received dev kits for new consoles.

And smartphones.

Crazy decision. Whoever thought Vita = big bucks does not deserve their 6 figure salary.

OK, I think we have a consensus here. You're off the hook!

That one place is your dvr box, the tvii thing does something like it when it taps into you dvr and you use the gamepad to switch channels and do stuff. I wouldnt be surprised if the xbox pad has an ir on it or something and it was acting like a remote like the wii gamepad does. All they really showed was a feed coming in and a guide over the top just like the guide on the gamepad but on your tv instead. They could just pull that from the internet with ease. The sky app for ipad does this too, you can change channels muck about with your recordings delete them select them etc this seems like that but again pulling the feed into the xbox laying xbox over it and then allowing you to control the dvr.

Thing looks like a beast.

I'm hoping that is just a trick of perception...otherwise we will have to start comparing next gen console sizes on the Keighley scale.

The XboxOne is currently standing at half a Keighley. Beat that Sony!

I think I've just realised what it's been making me subconsciously think of every time I look at top of the damn thing.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that.

It's almost like a reflection of the device itself, it's very much a device of two faces. The good (game side) and the twisted (everything else).

Only saw up to the dreadful "FUCK YEAH SPORTS" bit, but ... big yawns. The insta-switch tv/games/bluray/browser thing was quite cool, but buying a One for that is the old sledgehammer/walnut idiom. And you just know it will only work with American telly until Spring 2016.

Perhaps I'm being overly negative because I've spent a week and a half unsuccessfully trying to upgrade our Microsoft TFS server to version 2012.

PS4 doesn't interest me either, mind you. I think I will stick with 360 for a LONG time, as there are loads of games (esp. XBLA games) that I simply haven't got round to trying yet.

Incredibly childish. Stop giving a fuck what people think, put you opinion down and enforce it with reasonable debate. Learn to filter out the shit and respect and concede valid counterpoints.
