Yeah people seem to generally say just use two, but I guess you have a choice of which two are the most comfortable.

I don't use the paddles but the Elite controller is a seriously lovely bit of kit. If you can afford it I definitely recommend it.

Well if Argos do another one of those "buy the Elite pad for £100 and get AC: Origins FREE" deals then it's a total no-brainer.

Are they easy and comfortable to press? Do you find yourself swapping grenades by mistake?

I use two paddles on the left and one on the right because I kept hitting the upper-right unintentionally (with Halo 5). It still makes a huge difference though. I can't recommend it enough for multiplayer gaming.

Microsoft Rewards (formally Bing Rewards): Sign up here: http://rewards.microsoft.com/

What is Microsoft Rewards?

You can get a daily quota of virtual points simply for doing daily searches and quizzes via bing.co.uk when logged in. You can use these points towards Xbox related content such as digital Xbox store cards (£3/£5/£10/£25/£50) Xbox Live Gold (3 month/12 month) and Xbox Game Pass (1 month/12 month)

This service has recently launched in the UK, June I think? and I've already accrued enough points for 12 months of live and around £20 in store credit so it's well worth doing. There will be some periods of the year where you can earn double points for a period of time so it's worth keep racking up the points.

They've also added a number of new content today that you can spend your points on with other various digital cards from:

Debenhams

M&S

House of Fraser

Pizza Express

Starbucks

Ticketmaster

There's also monthly sweepstakes where you can win consoles, Surface laptops/tablets/drones. You can also donate your points to certain charities.

It's worth noting that, if you can be bothered, you can run multiple accounts and build up points on each one, then transfer over the rewards to your Xbox account once you've got the codes.

I also use a VPN plugin for Chrome to get around the Pirate Bay block. This seems to have two benefits - I get more quizzes and I seem to be able to double up my Bing search points by searching once with the VPN on, then again with it off.

There's also a bonus for searching on Bing through Edge, if you have Windows 10.

Got a XB1 today, and my oh my, getting used to the different UI is strange.

Have a month free game pass so diving into Dead Rising 3 and Re:core, I have Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break too to get me started.

One major difference between the bone and my ps4 is that the bone is absolutely silent. My PS4 needs the fans cleaned as sometimes it sounds like its about to launch!

Been a long time since I played an Xbox, so looking forward to diving in to some exclusives

I find it quite unnerving when people just produce (google) lists like that.

Cant see how anyone can argue that MS haven't lacked quality exclusives so far this generation.

Almost every Xbox One game is going to be available on PC going forward so there's no real point in having much of a debate about it, it just comes down to choosing which platform you want to play them on and enjoying it :)

Exclusives are now the main thing though. You can't argue with PS4's 2017 line up. Even I had to admit defeat once they got their act together. Still don't want one though.

However the internet mantra of Xbox having no games is utter bullshit. It's got hunners.

Yep, 2017 has been solid for SONY. Back in 2013/2014 though it didn't matter when they didn't have exclusives cause they were the best console for multiplats.

Now it's the other way round, more power doesn't matter. It's all about the exclusives.

People just need to play and enjoy their consoles.

Evening. Mate of mine just bought a One X today and offered me their old One at a steal if I agreed to come back to XBL to play some games with them (after my 4 year PS4 holiday) so I've bitten their arm off.

Pleased that the UI has been updated since I played one last (pretty much launch week), but Jesus Christ, these install/update times are killing me!!! I got given Halo 5, The Division, Fallout 4 and Shadow of Mordor as part of the deal but decided to just leave it tonight instead of playing anything due to snail pace of these install times. Currently downloading a 55GB (!) update for Halo 5  The wife and baby are going out for about 3 hours tomorrow morning though so I'll jump in then and give it a whirl. :)

Anyone tip me some recommendations for the best exclusives to look at? So far Quantum Break, Ori and Forza Horizon 3 are on my list (along with Halo mentioned above).

Ori is brilliant. Best platformer/metroidvania on the system and one of the best I’ve played full stop. I can’t wait for Will of the Wisps.

Criminally underrated by EDGE when they were going through their Sony loving, MS hating phase.

To borrow boozy’s line. #nobias

I completely forgot about Ori! That is definitely going on the list :)

I wonder to what age we'll still muster the inner rage required for console fanboyism. Maybe it's something too many of us learned during our formative years and will take it to the grave. Or maybe devotion to corporate electronics is just part of society now.

Edit- yeah, Ori looks stunning. I've been completely daft and haven't really looked at many of these indie type games.

Make sure you get the game of the year edition, or whatever it’s called. You can go back and explore all the areas for orbs you’ve missed. Parts of the map get locked off after certain points on the standard version.

When it’s so ingrained in even an esteemed publication like EDGE, then I’d pretty much say it’s here to stay.

It’s a shame really, as all 3 have got amazing consoles out there now, with some amazing games across all of them. The whole exclusivity deals nonsense massively feeds into that mindset as well though, unfortunately.
