It's one thing that really winds me up to be honest. I was reading an old Edge the other day, and they were talking with one of the guys from the Xbox team about updates. He clearly states that in instant on mode you will never see an update screen, but I see them all the time, for both firmware updates and game updates.

There was a new update pushed out for preview members yesterday, so I'll put money in you being in that.

 

I'm not in preview on either of my consoles, and all I've had is the anniversary update on the past 2 months.

This. If you don't like your console being updated frequently, leave Preview.

 I have it hard wired straight to my router so I don't think it is a network issue. I accept that sometimes I probably happen to switch on as a preview update has been pushed out seeing as they have been so frequent lately. But there have been plenty of times where either I get a notice that a game needs an update, or that an update has been downloaded, but not installed. Been like that on both my Xbox Ones pretty much since day one when it comes to the game updates.

They have merged it so it should be taking you accross to microsoft store or something when you attempt to purchase anything.

That's awesome Karzee I will do :) do you reckon they'll ever add co-pilots/gunners? That would be a brilliant co-op option.

My Gold expired last week (I think for the first time in 12 years). I'll re-up soon, but strangely enough, I tried downloading the 2 new GWG titles yesterday and they came down fine. 

 

And then I tried playing an Xbox One GWG title that I had downloaded previously, and that worked no problem.

 

On that note, is the cheapest still £28ish from CDKeys? Is there none of that £19 knocking around?

I'll tell you why it's working.

 

It's working because I'm still Gold. I saw 'Renew' and then the prices and assumed it had expired. It turns out I have another month left. Whoops.
