I quite like doing some of the more interesting ones, but I don't think I could purposely play a shit game just for some moon points. I wondered if there was some financial reward or something for having a high gamerscore.

Everyone with a gamerscore over 100k got a little cash bump via Xbox rewards this month so yes they're starting to look at rewarding people who have decent gamerscores.

I downloaded Ben Hur. Jesus Christ. Even for free I feel robbed.

My activity feed is filled with Varsity playing it - there's no escape for anyone! :/

Has there been any news on an Elite controller with bluetooth? I'm thinking about buying one, or the new S controller to replace my mk1 pad, but I'd rather not buy the Elite if a revision is coming soon.

afaik if the input is 50hz, it'll judder as the bone only outputs at 60hz.

the media remote is pretty good with a cool light up feature

I know there was a patch fairly early to allow the output to switch between 50/60Hz on the fly when using the TV. I have noticed some judder recently though so don't know if a recent update has rolled that back or not. It's not noticeable most of the time, but when it is it's highly offputting. There may be a setting that got changed. Must investigate.

Has anyone had any issues streaming to Twitch? Anytime I try to stream it says that the connection is bad and the resulting stream is of horrible quality. I get 35Mb/s down and 8Mb/s up, can't be an issue with my connection surely?

I used to get issues with my Infinity 2 70-odd mb connection with BT. Had to stream on medium.

I've noticed the same unfortunately. Seems to appear quite randomly, and when I check the settings all is as it should be. Oddly, removing and reinserting the HDMI cable has seemingly fixed it for me before, but doesn't always work. Frustrating.

Yep, support for 50Hz was added *ages* ago. It's a long time since the Xbox One only supported 60Hz.

The initial lack of 50Hz support was also an issue for PAL DVDs.

There used to be two separate settings for 50Hz support. May just be one now - there's definitely an option in display settings, but I'm not sure if there's still a separate one for the HDMI input.

If you have 50hz set in the menu it will output a 50hz signal where appropriate.

Mine switches to 50hz when I boot oneguide, then if I boot a game/app it switches back to 60hz

So you're answer to a roguelike indie space game is another indie roguelike space game? :D This time from a mobile game developer. It does look nice though. I almost backed it on Kickstarter for a Steam key but I figured it would be best to wait and see how it turns out.

When did indie titles start retailing in excess of £40?

Anyway in a further example of how responsive MS are becoming to requests from the userbase whilst Sony seemingly can't even be arsed to resolve something as AAA critical as two factor authentication:

Bonus:

In an interview with the Daily Star, Sean Murray of Hello Games was asked whether the timed exclusive game would ever come to Xbox One to which he replied that he wasn’t sure what he and Hello Games were “actually allowed to say” and that he must be “very specific with my words” when talking about No Man’s Sky’s exclusivity.

According to the Daily Star, “Sony’s rep stepped in to move the interview along, explaining that at this time there was nothing more to add”. The interruption of the Sony representative, as well as Murray's absence of denial, probably points to a very likely Xbox One release of No Man’s Sky in the future. Even if No Man’s Sky does eventually come to Xbox One, for now, we have no idea how long the timed console exclusivity will last on Sony’s hardware.

You're like a small child: happy to poke fun at others but as soon as someone pokes fun back you burst into tears

Unfortunately NMS is £40 because they know people will pay it. I'm kinda glad it is actually because it stopped me from preordering it and now I know it's not something I'm fussed about playing. If it was £20 I'd have already bought it.

Yah same here I think.  When it was revealed I was over the moon.  The speculation on what you could do in the game plus the £40 made me wait.  I'll probably pick it up at some point though anyway when it hits £20

For any Bone Alone owners who are seeing all the No Man's Sky chatter and getting a little jealous or anxious over another 6/10 exclusive...

I wouldn't say jealous or anxious, I'd say more bored with seeing 4 threads on the same sodding game! Someone wake me up when the circle jerk ends.

Maybe just ignore them then? Lots of people are having fun with the game - why does that bother you?

Anyhoo, does buying from other regions still work? Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate is "only" £60-ish from the Hong Kong store. Can I use my credit card or do I need to use store credit? Also, is digitalgamesprices the best comparison site, or are there others?

Funny you mention a circle jerk - this being the Bone thread 'n all.
