Will you keep all 3?

I'm trying to justify a house with 3 Xbox ones.

I traded one XB1 already so the S is effectively paid for between that and other stuff I chucked in. I'll do something similar when Scorpio is closer. I can see me having the S and Scorpio together as next week I'll have the S and an original.

I have 3 in the house.  It's brilliant.  My wife is very very impressed with my manliness.  Do it!

It's only proper manliness if you can stack all 3, then lift them off the ground together.

I was going to get a second, but honestly, streaming is decent enough that I don't think I'll bother upstairs. Perhaps it'll be an all-in adoption of 4k when scorpio arrives, have a pretty cheap TV and will hold on as long as I can to upgrade it.

My slim PS3 started outputting video again. Wipeout 3D tonight!!

That baconit Reddit app is really good! You get OS notifications for replies etc on Reddit if you want them. Apparently the guy did very minimal work to bring it over.

And my old boss wondered why I said it was a health & safety hazard when he put them on a shelf 8 feet up in the shop.

Quick question for all, if i want to use my US Xbone in the UK do I need a whole new UK power brick (and power lead) for it? From what I've read I think the answer is yes but want to be sure that I don't blow it up or rather my nephew doesn't as I'm giving it to him (as a Chrimbo present) as I just don't use it at all.

I'm at work, but if you look on the brick does it say 110-240V? You may just get away with needing the lead, if so.

I had to replace the 360 power brick, for the record my PAL Xbox One power brick says 200-240V so you may be out of luck.

Tim Sweeny seems a bit of an idiot. This comment got me though, what areas is he talking about?

A good place to start if you want a litany of shady anti-competitive practices from the Microsoft of old is the "findings of fact" from the Microsoft trial. Back in the day they did loads of dodgy stuff.

Nice one Ian. I really can't see that lasting long though. Surely it's breaking all kinds of copyright laws?

The point was more that it shows how open the platform has become. I think come Tuesday the app section is going to blow up with UWP stuff.

For all the users who just got the public build and don't know yet, you can disable Cortana by going to Settings, System, then Cortana Settings. A slider will be there to turn her on/off. After disabling her, the old Xbox commands will be enabled.

Yeah, I'm just getting it now. Didn't auto apply, had to manually check twice. Just over a gig download.

We'll see a torrent of UWPs now, really can't wait. At least for the essentials, they're slowly getting better on Win 10.

Edit- balls, after it started installing, it started issuing TV IR commands through the kinect. I thought it got stuck because it was sat on a blank screen, so hard reset but realized it had changed the AV input. Back in the old dash, the update option is greyed out now, but it's definitely still on the old Threshold 2 build.

Updated here and am pleased my pins are back (they disappeared off my 'normal' Xbox when my other one got the preview dash) and that the original Xbox commands are definitely there as mentioned by a few people.

"Hey cortana... Lag lag lag".

I've given it ten minutes. It's now getting turned off again - why they can't short-circuit or support both sets of commands for people with Kinect I don't know...
