So I'm really enjoying the Xbox One ^_^

I have Rise of the Tomb Raider, Ori, Sunset Overdrive and Halo Master Chief Collection ready to play, and I've just bought Super Hot which I'm enjoying (I didn't realise it would be a timed Xbox exclusive). I'll be picking up Inside later this week too.

I almost never play online on my PS4, but it's clear the Xbox One puts this at the forefront like the 360 did. I have various issues with the main menu, but getting into your friends list (press the guide button and then left) is far easier than on PS4, making online play feel more accessible. I'll be picking up a headset and getting back online for sure.

The pad is lovely (the bumpers are far better in this revised controller), but it's a shame you need to spend more money to make it rechargeable, and it is scary that I've already filled 90% of the HDD! Halo 5 alone, a game I own on disc, somehow takes up 80GB.

Both consoles are great, and both have pros and cons, but I still think I made the right choice to go with the PS4 on launch - it's just what was right for me at the time. I've been an Xbox die-hard since the first one though, buying the PS2 and PS3 much later, so it's good to be back. Really looking forward to Crackdown 3 now!

Get yourself a 5TB USB Drive, and buy digital going forward. I made that change last year, and it's been a game changer.

I'm with you on Crackdown 3. Cannot wait.

Why are the digital games so much more than physical?

Last I looked doom on disc is about £35, digital is £50.

If they were comparable then sure, but I'm not paying a premium just to not have to get off my arse every now and then.

Yeah it's not always the case but it can be annoying.

I normally buy from the Singapore store as stuff is much cheaper there. However given how much the value of GBP has dropped in the last week that might not be worth it anymore.

I must admit i find it absolutely flabbergasting that someone would play £120 for a video game controller. After all, its only for playing games with, and surely can't be that much better than the standard one.

Is that blasphemous to type that on here? Just my opinion.

Argos are doing the elite controller for £120 with a free copy of Halo 5. Someone tell me I should get it.

Game are doing that too - I traded it straight back price matched to CEX for another £9 off the pad.

Does it not work with play and charge battery pack ?

Is it always wired ?

I use mine with a play & charge kit. The 9ft cable that comes with it is much stronger and better quality than the standard pads cables. It's a great pad.

On another note, I've just ben told Xbox Live Gold codes from the USA will work on UK accounts? That true?

Remember last week I posted that all of the EA Access games had showed up in my 'ready to install' section? And how they disappeared before I managed to try downloading any?

Well, today Halo 5 has appeared in there and I've started to download it (86gig!). Again, I've not bought or shown any interest in the game, nor have I had any emails or notifications about it.

Is this just another bug with the preview dash or a promotion/free gift I don't know about?

Anyone else having random games appear in their 'ready to install' sections?

Currently at about 3% complete - I'll let you know if it fully installs or if I'm able to play it. Weird.

I'm glad I own Halo 5 on disc, that download would take 48 hours on my connection.

Am I missing something, or is the console store really this bad? Isn't there a section for categories, games on sale or Games with Gold?

Games with Gold+games on sale (well the Deal of the Week games) is right in front of you, on the dashboard where it says Gold ;)
