Guys I have just bought an Xbox One. I couldn't put off playing Halo 5 any longer, and reading about all the backwards compatibility stuff, and just MS attitude generally at the moment. Can't wait to get in and play on it :)

Maybe get gold now? Hoover the free games before they switch.

Be sure to get Master Chief Collection, can be bought for silly prices these days. :)

EX-LIONHEAD DEVELOPERS BRINGING SECRET FABLE CARD GAME TO KICKSTARTER..

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/05/30/ex-lionhead-developers-bringing-secret-fable-card-game-to-kickstarter

Quote

Lionhead was secretly developing a free-to-play, Fable-branded digital card game, Fable Fortune, for 18 months before the studio’s closure - and now it’s headed to Kickstarter.

Flaming Fowl Studios is a new indie developer co-founded by Lionhead veterans Craig Oman, Mike West and Marcus Lynn and set up to finish the game its creators started. Microsoft has given the team its backing to continue to use the Fable license but, now without a publisher behind it,

The game begins its Kickstarter campaign tomorrow, Tuesday May 31 at 3pm BST / 10am ET / 7am PT. The team hope to raise at least £250,000 in four weeks, with multiple stretch goals planned beyond that.

Flaming Fowl expects Fortune will be ready for a closed beta within a few weeks of the end of the campaign, an open beta on PC and Xbox One in October, with a full release to follow late in 2017.

There's a 17 minute play through vid at the link.

I bought Deus Ex: Human Revolution on back compat for £2.99 the other day. Bargain, I thought, except they've completely screwed up the control scheme, and there doesn't seem to be a way of changing it. Who in god's name uses R3 to zoom in with a weapon, instead of LT?

Can you not change the controls within the in game options?

I was THRILLED when my 360 saves somehow magically teleported through The Cloud onto my Xbone, and was fizzing with excitement at the prospect of playing through it again, but it's unplayable like this. I feel a death threat coming on.

Pffft! Who shoots the enemy in a Deus Ex game, it's all about stealth takedowns ;)

To be honest, that's probably why I abandoned it on the 360 in the first place, and spent more time with the PC, and even Wii U, versions.

They're total crap.

I finished it and loved it on the 360, like properly loved it - 10 mins on the xbone and fuck that shit due to control mapping! If it was the same on 360 then no idea how I managed or was it pre every game using the same controls as COD??

This machine is impressively quiet, it's like night and day compared to my PS4. Haven't played Halo 5 yet because it needs a 35gb update (!) so I left it installing overnight.

Games for my shopping list:-

Master Chief Collection

Elite

Killer Instinct

Titanfall

TR Rises

FH 2

Rare Replay

Destiny TTK (my friend has a Bone and plays nothing else)

Any other classics I've missed?

Currently playing Fallout 4, seems indistinguishable from the PS4, just lovely and quiet. Digging the pad too.

Finding the the while UI a bit more cluttered but I'm just getting used to it.

If you go to usage under settings->network you can see your download speed there in realtime.

@Stanley There's a chance they might go gold at some point but people have been saying that forever. Ryse and Dead Rising 3 are worth a look as are Ori and the blind forest, Superhot and Quantum Break. You just missed Sunset Overdrive on GWG.

Probably already been said but Halo MCC is £9.79 on cdkeys so get that bought asap - http://www.cdkeys.com/xbox-live/games/halo-the-master-chief-collection-xbox-one  (5% less with Facebook code)

Titan fall is part of EA access and thats all worth getting as it will give you a load of 'free' games plus some god demos and access to new game demo before release - I paid £9.99 for my year sub on ebay :o

I really enjoyed the Gears of war remake and suspect thats cheap now and just started Dark Souls via BC and that was £3.79 if you're odd like me having not played it before!

I'm not sure I'd get Destiny at this point, it felt unwelcoming to me when I got the taken king expansion and I was only 1 behind at that point.

Starting from level 1 now doesn't seem like an exercise in fun.
