Tricky one isn't it, two tier consoles just go against everything a console represents and it could potentially ruin online play as the player base will be split with one half having an advantage.

I've been using one since Christmas to purchase games from other regions on the xbox without any problems.

yep, used mine in Spain last summer , no problems with it at all, even made a few quid through the currency conversion :)

Yes, I use VPRVPN on my phone to make the purchase. Do all the navigating to the page on the MBP though.

MS will potentially release a "enchanced" xbox one with better gpu and cpu. Can only assume it will work like a PC and still allow older games to work whilst the newer consoles have higher framerates /resolutions.

No need to assume, that's the plan it seems. Build games as apps that have sufficient abstraction to allow them to work cross platform and cross Xbox generation. Basically, Spencer drying the 7 year generation, pointing to the much shorter cycle on mobile. I guess we'll see how that pans out, but I like the universal apps concept.

I didn't, no. My account is flagged yes, having been invited previously, but I didn't get accepted from your invite. However, my console runs the stable OS build, and I rebuilt the whole OS a few weeks back.

A US cable ISP and a crappy old E900 linksys $30 thing. I don't think network issues would cause pins to change order though, right? I grant you the other stuff could be packet delays and other guff in transit, but all other devices, include 2 360s, work fine. All my consoles are wired.

I tried the free trial for Solus Project and while it was still quite rough around the edges, sluggish movement and fussy item selection for starters, I really liked the atmosphere and art direction.

Unfortunately, the waypoint marker seemed to freeze after I got my first torch burning (possibly because I was faffing about and created a torch before the tutorial asked me too) and the narrative couldn't advance further. I muddled on anyway and explored as far as I could up the coast hoping to see some animals or something but ended up dying of hypothermia in a cave on the second night after I burned the last roots I could find and ate all my food...

I'm intrigued by all the hints of hidden civilizations though and would consider a purchase as it's just got a certain tranquility I enjoyed.

Well the latest dash update has fucked me over yet again. Worked fine yesterday, turned it on this morning and it still showed 8 friends as being online, same as when I turned it off yesterday. It's also saying I'm not connected to Live when I clearly am because I just updated R6: Siege but it won't let me play anything and can't sync data...Brilliant.

I had this issue but a 'big' reboot fixed it.

That's what happened to me. Removing profiles & formatting the machine just made things 10 times worse. That's why I left the preview.

Anyone have and use the TV dongle thing to turn the one into a PVR? If so Is it any good? About to move house and like the idea of using the One as an all in one box rather than getting another box under the TV. Does it do things like series repeat etc? TIA

I had this with the last update. Signing out of my profile then signing back in sorted it for me, fingers crossed its that easy for you too.

It did fix it eventually, not on the first time though, signed in and out several times and then left it off for a few hours, worked on rebooting it. Taken myself out of the preview for now though, can't be having more of that!
