i'm game sharing so i can't do that i don't think.. well i guess i could if i disconnect and it wouldn't make a difference asa long as i change it before connecting again? if it works like that, not sure.

 

i've given that a miss though and on a plus side it's prompted me to dig out sunset overdrive and am giving it a blast for the first time in too long :D

It's still broke. Usually I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I read they were being targetted by hackers with daily DDOS attacks, which usually leads to disruption for an hour or two at a time but still being unable to access digital games 10 hours later is both disappointing and frustrating. 

 

Now getting a message to set my xbox to offline & make it my home console if I use it regularly, this is either a response to the lack of messaging, an attempt to reduce game sharing or a sign that it's properly fucked on the server side. Whichever it is neither of these is good news to me as an Xbox Live subscriber.

Panda and I couldn't get on rocket league last night but after a couple of minutes of trying to open the game then getting an error message we both got on and played without issue.

 

I assume it's a DDOS, that the authentication servers are just being overrun with requests and that if you're prepared to keep trying it's possible to get lucky and have your request dealt with. I played Halo after a couple of attempts too. 

 

However, I know approximately nothing about the reality of what goes on with a DDOS so I might be wrong.

Yeah it's a bit irritating. Being 90% digital I couldn't play with any of my friends last night. It was the first time in months there was a big group of us together for some BF4. Oh well. Luckily the missus got me Just Cause 3 so I can play that.

 

I do finally have a Trackmania Beta Key that I can't redeem though :(
