Xbox One Console Thread

I thought it looked fantastic. It's a game where literally nothing happens while the main character is deciding what to do, which I was watching on my phone with the sound off, and it *still* got my heart pumping.

That's an interesting point though Boozy. Given that every game on that list is available to play on the PC (except The Order: 1886 and nobody will lose any sleep over not being able to play that) you're right in that PCs do make more sense than an Xbox One.

Yes I'm selling mine to help finance a half a graphics card. Why would I want to keep it now that I can invest hundreds or even thousands of pounds in a PC which does the same things and runs spreadsheets, it's madness to even consider staying onboard when I could join the PC brigade and have conversations about games in binary.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was one of my favourite games of last year but Lara getting an award for achievement in character is mind boggling. Reboot and Rise Of have some of the worst writing in any games I've ever played.

I don't think the writing is that bad but any award for story telling Life is Strange loses to Tomb Raider is a bad award.

Fancy something a little different?

Stranger of Sword City is an oldschool JRPG Dungeon Explorer that releases next month (22nd March) and has an eight hour free trial which unlocks achievements and progress and transfers your save data over to the full game if you purchase it. Fully playable in English. I believe it was originally a Japan region 360 and Vita game but the new version has been updated with two distinct art styles which you can switch between on the fly.

It's expected to be on the USA store on that date but I can't find anything about a UK/Euro release, But you can always change your system location to USA if you want to try and later buy it.
