What are the chances, eh? I'd better double check my router setup when I get home. Had it replaced a while ago by Virgin, so I guess it's possible it hasn't been locked down. Presumably the only way he could access it is by being on my network.

He tried to play some Sesame Street count thing. It did tell me his name, though, cos that was his account. If he paired with smart glass, that could be a lot more annoying.

I seem to hit a bug right near the start where this guy is supposed to climb over a fence but he just stands there doing nothing. Restarted the game and made different choices but he still ends up standing there.

Well, my network is secure, and he reckons it just allowed him to connect to my bone without any sort of pairing code. That doesn't sound good.

Doesn't pairing the Youtube app require you to input a code which is displayed on the TV, too?

Or he knows your router password. Have you changed it? They tend to ship with the same default.

I just tried with my phone and I could connect whilst on 4G and my Xbox on the home wifi network...

Yeah, YouTube screen sharing doesn't care about networks. All you'd need to do is spy those giant numbers on screen when someone was adding a device and you could add yours.

actually. My wife managed it from upstairs without pairing codes. She just cast to the wrong device that was advertising itself as castable on the network. I still think there's an unsecured network at play here.
