Right, I'm finally going to get my eldest an Xbox for his birthday seeing as I was a bit late at Christmas, so I've got a couple of questions.

I'm going to do the game sharing thing with him where we set each other's consoles as our home. Does that mean I'll have to get him his own Live sub? Also, will apps such as Plex work with this method?

I haven't tested this but I have a feeling that he doesn't need a gold sub if you've set his console to be your home console and you havea gold sub. I think every gamertag signed into that console then gets the benefits of Gold such as multiplayer gaming.

Not sure about the apps question, I'd always presumed it was sharing across all purchases but I could be wrong here.

Very underwhelmed by Zheros, I'm at the 3rd stage and only now seeing a slightly different enemy, the stages so far have been very bland also, almost tempted to delete it already if it hadnt taken all sodding day to download on the shitty work connection.

As for the Xbox itself, has anyone seen any good deals? The best I've seen was £250 for the 500gb with Ori and Rare Replay. I already have both those, so will they come as download codes that I can sell on?

Plex is free on XBoxOne and PS4 so that should just work. Do note that you'll likely need to share your library with your son in plex or it won't pick up your plex library. Hope this last bit makes sense. If you try to use plex app with an xbox live account that isn't linked to plex then it says you need a valid account. You'l need to make a plex account for your son and share your plex library with him.

That's what I've done with my kids.

Gigantic "beta 2.0" starts next week:

Whether you've been with us every step of the way or only just began to get a feel for Gigantic, 2016 is an exciting year for the game. We've already made some big changes in the new year - so many that we've started calling this BETA 2.0. Here's a quick recap of the changes we've already made:

Your Microsoft Account is now your global login across all of our environments: on Windows, on your XBOX, on the website, and to the support site.

We've closed the servers for the 64bit Gigantic client as the game is moved to its final home: the Windows 10 App Store.

Your XBOX Gamertag is now your universal identity. You can change it over here.

These changes help lay the foundation to some super exciting changes on the horizon. Here's what you can expect in the next week or so:

How odd. Somebody (I presume my neighbour) has paired YouTube on my XB1 with their phone, and keeps interrupting my Netflix by booting YouTube and playing a video. How is this even possible, and how do I prevent it?

I wouldn't have thought it was possible unless they're on your network or have access to your machine to get a pairing code.

Is your network secure?
