Right, I sent my xbox one back to amazon as occasionally it wouldn't show a picture when it came back from standby unless I unplugged a HDMI cable or started the console from cold boot. My kids xboxes don't do that.

Having a look on amazon I could buy the Forza Limited Edition 1TB console for £280. Only problem being I don't give a fuck about the custom noises it makes on startup and shutdown. Sounds like it's chewing a disc! (you can't change them).

1TB Tomb Raider Bundle is £290

Any reasons for not going with the bundle? I'd sell the digital codes as I've played both games.

rafaqat, the console noises are annoying, but I power up/down using a pad, so it's only occasionally cringe worthy.

Such a lovely shade of blue, though.

KingA, using any streaming DNS services? The Reddit thread I was reading said leave IP to dhcp and try OpenDNS. Sorry if you've already gone through all this.

Not that I am aware of? How do I do this? I'm happy to go through any suggestions.

Last night after about 3 hours of resetting consoles/router/settings/logging in and out, we managed to get the two xboxes into a public server on GTA for the first time in months. One had an open NAT, one had a moderate. It played fine but whenever we get near each other it turns into a horrific lag fest. After about 2 hours one of us got disconnected and we couldn't reconnect to each other. This is what we had to do with the BT modem every time we switched on.

Thing that winds me up. I put a (slightly moaning) post up on reddit essentially asking for advice - https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/400dse/its_been_2_years_1_month_2_weeks_since_the_xbox/

As I expected, I'm pretty much being told it's the way I have set everything up and nothing else. I'm really confused how this is the case when everything else works fine. It's JUST the xbox's.

Standard 500gb No games £235

I think they are the best deals on there at the moment. Personally I'd go for the Forza console.

pfft, where were you at 1am when I plumped for the Tomb Raider bundle. :)

I figured that as nice as the Forza console looked I'd probably get more selling the two Tomb Raider games. Selling for £15 and £25 on ebay.

So I wasn't sure how many times I've changed my home console due to me usually using my account to initially set up an xbox one when we've bought one for the kids. Got the new one and thought I'd best ring MS before trying to change home consoles as I want to stick the new 1TB one downstairs for my son and use his 500gb one upstairs in my bedroom and I didn't want to hit the 3 times in a year change limit. They just went ahead and reset my count back to zero after I explained what I was doing. No quibbles. No trying to make out I was trying to rip them off. Customer service win yet again.

KingA I had the same on BT Infinity, but since going back to sky I've got open nat on both Xbox One's and they can play and chat in the same party.

It's BT mate, they are useless

Thats the next option. Change ISP. We've done everything we can with this one. Gotta hold out till march now.

KingA - Are both Xbox using Static (or reserved IP's) and UPNP

I had a similiar issue with my Sky hub, I could only get one xbox to be open and the other strict. I had 1 xbox in the DMZ but it made no difference. Once I allowed UPNP to do its stuff on both, both have been set to open ever since

Noob question, but how do I make one of these my b/g?

What Mike said or I saved them on my phone and then stuck them on Onedrive :) gotta love the cloud.

Edit : you could also I think visit that page using Edge browser then save them direct from there - I think there's a "set as background" option that pops when viewing pics in the browser.

Patch notes would be great, but - unlike PS4 - Xbox One has nothing like that :(

With the old dash, you got an asterisk in the corner of a game/app's tile in My Games & Apps if a game/app had been updated automatically since you last opened it.

With the new dash, you should get a notification if a game/app has been updated automatically since you last opened it.

Is anyone else's machine really slow at populating the tiles in the games & apps app?

I use a 2tb ext drive if that makes a difference. I hadn't noticed any issues until quite recently and have tried power cycling.

I could try the drive on my other Xbox to see if it's that which is the problem but even then, it might just be that the Xbox struggles when there are loads of tiles to show?

Pins are, for no explicable reason, stored server-side. They'll show up regardless of whether or not the game/app is even installed and them loading slowly shouldn't have anything to do with your HDD. It's more likely to be a network issue.

For the actual games app, it should be more or less instant. I had issues with mine after the NXE but after a factory reset it has been fine. Might be worth a go if all your games are already external and won't need redownloading.
