Xbox One Console Thread

Anyone can play installed games if the owners of said games set the machine to be their home console. You can install it elsewhere, buy you'll need to be logged in as them to play.

As I understand it.

Thought as much. Means I need to buy my own games.

I'm pretty happy with them, I've always had a morbid curiosity about Thi4f, and this is the perfect opportunity to indulge it. I'm certainly not expecting anything special but it can't completely without merit, surely?

It was on PS+ for PS3 ages ago and it's worthless.

Dishonoured is about a million times better.

Don't listen to the man above! Whilst Dishonored may be better Thief isn't all that bad, especially for free. I certainly enjoyed my time with it when it came out early last year. Just don't expect anything of the level of Thief 3 (although the hospital level is quite scary).

It's my birthday today. My kids bought me an XboxOne. They already gameshare between them so I now have to buy the same games as them. First off. Another copy of Forza Horizon 2!

Happy birthday for yesterday mate, it was mine too. I'm 39 again! (41)

I have bought my boy a One for Christmas, which i was going to download mine and his profiles to so we could play Titanfall against each other, him upstairs and me downstairs. Titanfall is mine technically which came as a code with the machine.

Does this mean for him to play it (if i am playing it downstairs) we need to buy it again, with his account (EA Access the cheapest way i suppose)?

You'll have to set his console upstairs as your Home console and the downstairs one as his. Then you will only need one copy to be able to play on both consoles. This way his profile can play on your games whether you are online or not. Your profile on the downstairs machine will only be able to play your games if it is online though so not perfect,

Did you sort out his 360 profile on the One?

I did mate, sorry didn't reply to you. I was cursing that fact you couldn't bring up the 360 guide on the One until i saw your post, so thanks. Worked a treat, redownloaded his profile.

I'll give it a go with the home console thing, thanks again.

Accidentally ended up with a 1tb bone, fallout, halo, rare replay and a spare pad fall into my basket while browsing black friday earlier, and then i tripped and clicked buy.

Oops

Oh well. Anyone want to by a 360?

So, what's good ? Any must buys for 6 months time when I finish Fallout?

What has annoyed is that I could have been grabbing free games with gold for the past year or so and hadn't realised you could. Doh.

Edit - also what's the crack with BC games, the list seems quite small, is it worth keeping hold of old 360 games or get rid? I'd rather not get rid of all my old halo and lego games and stuff to rebuy the bone versions.

With regard to Halo, get rid of your old versions and buy The Master Chief Collection. I think it's about £18 at the moment if you buy it from the Singapore store.

If you add MCC to that pile I'd suggest a 2tb external drive will be the next thing you need. Between it and halo5 you're looking at about 140gb

wow, suddenly glad i went for the 1tb version.

Having researched i might have to rebuy and restart marvel superheroes as it isn't on the bc list

I've read either of the halo 5 or fallout 4 threads for fear of spoilers but is Halo 5 as horrifically difficult as destiny pvp ? or is it a bit less hardcore?

Reach was the last halo i really played a lot of online and i'm just too old and slow now

It's probably about the same... I've not played Destiny PVP in a long time but I found it harder to get on with than this version of Halo. I don't know how good the matching on Destiny is but on Halo I'm getting a lot more close games which presumably means they're matching people's skill levels slightly more appropriately?

This Halo does have it's own casual mode, Warzone which I don't like much but if you're looking for something a bit less stressful might work out for you?

I have it, half way through it when I realised I hadn't played 4 :o

4's good!

Does anyone know of a problem with Game DVR on the new dash?

Specifically being unable to snap the app, in fact the app doesn't even appear on the list when you go to "Snap an app". There doesn't appear to be a way to update the app or uninstall/reinstall. Any ideas?

Halo online is halo online so if you were good on old ones I suspect it will carry over!

Destiny PvP is about learning how to play it, I hated it for ages as I was playing loads of battlefield so tied to play it that way and you can't play destiny like that - once you get in your head how quickly you take people down and how the movement works you will find plenty of fun, you just have to unlearn any COD/BF/Halo ways of playing it IMO!

Apps > Game DVR > Start > Manage > Uninstall

Should work, mine snaps fine

Scratch all that, mine's pumped too. It snaps then fails to offer any options for starting / ending clips,

Record that /screenshots work.
