Xbox One Console Thread

It's changed quite a bit since then - it's had 3 episodes on the PC which should be all together in the XBone version. They only released "The Final Cut" in September on steam and took all the improvements over the series and applied them over one big 50+hr package.

Anyone else had/having connection problems with their pads? Been perfectly fine until last night and then just started constantly disconnecting and becoming unresponsive. Only way to get it working again is to reboot the console then re-sync them which is annoying and ridiculous to say the least. Seems to be a known issue with the console from reading up on it.

Well, at least Van Helsing isn't 100% tripe, a truly dire selection otherwise. I certainly won't be renewing my subscription once my month's trial of Gold is up, not for next month's games at least.

And consequently get negged for having a different opinion, So bizarre. Just makes me laugh

Just in case you think otherwise, I didn't neg you (and don't know who negged me, as I'm on my phone), but yeah, I agree with your sentiment to an extent, a bad month is hardly the end of the world - but as I'm in a situation where I don't currently have a long-term subscription this just means I'll be holding off on renewing until a better month comes around.

My son is playing Fallout 3 via BC but can't sign in to xbox Live while using the 360 emulation as he recently changed his gamertag and the 360 part of the One only shows his old name. Anyone had this before?

He has used his new gt on Live for at least a month, probably more. Pretty odd.

I had this. Start a 360 game and once it's running press the menu and select buttons at the same time. You'll see the old 360 guide open. From there you should be able to redownload your son's profile and this will fix the connection problems (it did for me).

I don't think anyone's saying they'd rather not get free games. But it's perfectly valid to offer an opinion on the games.

Indeed, free is only free if your time is worthless. I suspect I'll never play any of those 4.

Not going to whine about them though, always considered Ps Plus and Games on Gold to be bonuses.

It was me what negged you. The sentiment of "well, it's really cheap, you shouldn't complain" really irritates me.

People can complain if they want, Just like people can have a different opinion. I'm not going to neg someone for having a different view on something as that's just petty.

That's what the rep system is for. You pos if you agree with a post or like it, you neg if you disagree or don't like it.

I don't know. I tend to pos things that make me smile and Neg things like racism or people saying retarded when they're talking about a firmware update.

Oh and NEG. I neg NEG.

Okay, how about instead of just disagreeing with a post, you violently disagree with it? It really irritates you. I neg posts like that, as I did in this case. I don't neg everything I disagree with. As Wiper says, I'd be out of negs before breakfast. Claiming that negs shouldn't be used on posts you disagree with is either disingenuous or reductive. Any neg you give is because you disagree with something. Neg a racist post? It's because you disagree with the racist person's opinion. Neg something in the PTMYL thread because it didn't make you laugh? You're disagreeing with the poster that the picture is funny.

But this might be getting a little off topic.

To drag it back to relevance to the thread, what you seem to be talking about here is severity of disagreement. You think that saying "we shouldn't complain about the quality of GWG games because they're cheap" is innocuous enough that it doesn't warrant a neg. I strongly disagree. It doesn't matter how cheap something is. If you're paying for a service, you have every right to complain if you don't think that service is of a high standard, no matter how little you're paying. Microsoft have made three poor games available on 360 in December. I've played Castlestorm and Dragon Rising, and they're rubbish. I haven't played Sacred 3, but the reviews I've read suggest it's pants too. Why wouldn't I complain about that? Because they're cheap? Fuck that. I'm paying for the service, and I think it's poor.
