Stupid question, but how does a system wide remap work? Is it just a southpaw thumbsticks thing? What about buttons?

Can I perma-swap say A and X, for example? So, say X becomes jump in Halo and A becomes reload? (Obvs would never do this).

But then say in a Tomb Raider QTE, presumably the software doesn't know I've remapped the buttons, so the 'wrong' on-screen prompts would appear?

Planning on getting my boys their own Xbox One for Xmas. I know about the game sharing route so will be doing that. Re Live - If their console is set up as my home xbox will they need a Live subscription seeing as I already have one?

Assuming no will I be fine logging in on my xbox then?

Its not an issue in getting them both one, but at the moment they all share my Gold sub using my console on their accounts

I've not done the sharing thing before. I've got some XBLA games which happen to be BC compatible on my UK live account. If I login and download them, I assume they'd be available to my US account? Of course, it would be a lot easier if they'd let me merge the accounts, given they obviously changed their policy on switching account regions since I moved here.

Also, anyone's One taking a bit longer to boot since the new dash? It used to sit on the green screen with circles pulsing for a split second, but now it sits there for a good few seconds. I thought perhaps my internet was knackered, but it works perfectly fine once it's finished booting.

No they won't need a gold sub they'll leverage yours and yes you can still login on a different console and use everything on that.

It looks like they've deliberately hobbled the remapping for non-elite controllers, because you can have up to 256 separate maps for the Elite (with only 2 of those being stored on the controller) but only 1 map for the standard controller.

I know they probably want to push the Elite controller, but it still seems like a mean move given they've acknowledged that the Elite isn't for everyone.

How does suspend and resume work? I'm set to instant on and auto sign in but on Rise of the Tomb Raider when I turn the console back on it says my profile status has changed and I'm sent back to the title screen. Is the feature specific to certain games only or should it work with everything?

That should only happen if you use a new device, or sign in from an unusual location/IP.

Seems to be a Tomb Raider thing -

Is there a way to stop suspend/resume logging you out and returning you go the main menu? Kind of annoying.

Cheers, Ordered. Saved £24 on the Game price after I paid for next day delivery. Thats the boys main Xmas pressie sorted now

Although Amazon don't seem to have despatched it yet, it better get here tomorrow seeing as I paid for next day delivery and was within the window for delivery tomorrow

Anyone on the preview dash be damned careful with the latest update.

It's fucking people's gamertags, the beta forums are filling up with posts.

Your friends list won't update and you won't be able to load save games.

DONT play games in offline mode. It will overwrite your saves.

Also, don't remove your gamertag. When you recover it it won't load thing, you'll have graphic bugs selecting stuff and other issues.

Either wait it out for Microsoft to give a patch, or drop out of the program and format your machine.

I have a question that has been asked a million times before - if i buy a second One, download my games to it, can my boy sign in on it with his GT and Live account and play Titanfall against me on our current One? Titanfall is a game i purchased, not him. Is that allowed?
