Yeah, at one point in the preview i was getting random notifications of games and apps being installed every time I switched the xbox on that were already installed anyway. I only seem to get the "external storage is ready" notification now.

looks ok, more space for pins yay!

oh and if it isn't obvious (I found out from a video) when you boot simply hit right trigger on main area and it will scroll straight to pins at bottom, one of which is "my games and apps". Saves laboriously scrolling down the main area past game hubs to find your pins.

Double tapping guide brings up the new guide insert on the left hand side of the screen (friends, messages, notifications etc).

And at the top of the screen it says press 'Y for screenshot' or 'X for video'.

The new friends logo looks like a pair of pliers very odd choice.

Initially confusing but everything works and seems faster and some bits are definitely improved e.g settings using the left hand side menu with the available subsections displayed to the right.

If in doubt RT.

Note, TV channel favourites are accessed by pushing left.

Do you have the rest of the new sidebar when you double tap guide button? The words are right at the top just to the right of the thin column.

Did you try what was suggested? Double tap then Y ie the same as it was before?

It didn't work on my old dash and it doesn't work on this one.

Yep, need to check "allow game broadcasts and captures" in Preferences - Game DVR.

I don't think i have, says none available either. I'm only saying this as i have no 360 games to install, or the hub mentioned above.

Have had it on Instant on all morning too.

everytime they update the dashboard (and especially on the preview) there's a struggle to find where the games are listed. I was playing up some of the faux-rage exhibited in this thread.

The new dash is much nicer so thats good...

I am far too distracted with the Forza Horizons 2 fast and furious game tho, its incredible - Horizons 2 has jumped to top of my 'must buy' list!

Might it be the case that the version rolled out to Preview members on the 9th is the version that is rolling out today to everyone else, and we'll get what will be the next update soon?

I hope not too. My games crash more often than not when resuming from the dashboard and I'm still not getting anything usable from Netflix on the OneGuide (just to keep flogging that dead horse. I do have a Netflix recommendation now: The X Files! Which isn't actually available on the UK service..). Plus my Kinect is still only working around 50% of the time.
