Think it was about this time last year. I bagged mine on an Amazon lightning deal.

For anyone with game sharing set up, after you set you're pal's xbone as your home, and vice versa, is this how it is left? So you log back in as yourself, but you essentially are playing your own xbone with it not set as your 'home'?

Exactly.

Think thats the only device with the boiler that is left on for obvious reasons

I know its stupid, but better safe than sorry

I do leave my Xbox in Instant on mode overnight when I am downloading games / updates etc

The thing most likely to catch fire overnight is your phone charger. Apparently in the hundreds per year...

I never really get this unless people actually cut all the electricity to the house, a mate of mine was saying similar to above when I said the Ps4 is in the standby mode and he was horrified that it was on.... apparently his router, sky box, boiler controls, clock radio and all those other devices that are on couldn't possibly catch fire.

Yeah yeah its all about risk and having less devices on has to be less risk but all in or nothing!

Didn't the original Xboxes have a problem that could potentially burn your house down Remember getting a box through the post from MS to go into the power socket to help prevent it... Maybe that's why MS went for external bricks on the 360... Certainly didn't install me with confidence..

It's a wonder there's a house still standing after all those hundreds of phone chargers catching fire overnight. HUNDREDS.

I'm really impatient to install Fallout 3 on my XBone, even though I'm not going to start playing it until after I've finished Life Is Strange, Game of Thrones and Alien Isolation.

Yeah, I had two of those lead things through the post!

Ahh good old Halo 2, had to get a second Xbox to play it as my original one was modded and would have been banned as I recall - playing Halo 2 now on MCC having finished Halo yesterday, happy days!

Still waiting on a really great deal on a One. There has been some decent ones but nothing amazing yet.

When did they start appearing last year?

I will be very impressed if you beat that Rakuten deal a couple of us nabbed the other week. Taking into account all the MS Points I got with my free Rakuten vouchers, and shifting the free FIFA code on eBay, I effectively got the 500GB Bone plus Halo 5 on disc for under £170.

Gutted I missed that, but at that point in time I didn't realise I wanted a One yet.

Downloading the update now... Interestingly, I was just trying to install upload studio to post a Fallout pic when I got interrupted and told to start the download so if anyone wants it quickly maybe try installing a random app and it might kick it off... Download ain't that big nearly done now, hope all goes smoothly... ????

BC titles aren't going to appear until around 8pm tonight:

Team Xbox will begin the rollout of the New Xbox One Experience after 3:01am ET/ 12:01am PT November 12th.

Not everyone is going to get it at the same time. Depending on the time zone you are in, as well your Xbox One console settings, you may get the New Xbox One Experience at a different time than your friends.

Regardless of when you receive the New Xbox One Experience system update, the Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature will begin rolling out starting at 3:01pm/12:01 PM (noon) PT on November 12th. To start playing your Xbox 360 games on Xbox One after this time, refresh your Game Collection to see your pre-purchased, digital Xbox 360 titles from the Backward Compatible title list in your ready to install queue or simply insert the disc for a supported Xbox 360 title and download the game to start playing it on Xbox One.

Well that went smoothly enough.

I noticed that they seem to have given me Rare Replay for free so installing that now, maybe cos I was part of nxoe preview for a good while (backed out near the end as it was getting too buggy but left them detailed feedback) and also I'm able to jump straight back into Fallout even though I'm using a friend's digital version with console home sharing so I'm glad I didn't have to faff about setting that up again ????

There are a couple of handy tutorial vids for the new dash I'd recommend folks watch if they're going in cold.

Good job so far anyway... ????

Mine hasn't updated since the 9th! Grumble. Guess I'm not in the first wave for the official release, despite being in the preview program and doing all those shit quests and giving feedback and stuff.

I left mine in standby but no dice, went to update and it said there was one there after a few secs so worth a try!

Anyone having issues with an external hdd? Just had update installed and my external hdd has gone from being around 84% full and having 400gigs free, to now being reported as being 99% full with 3gigs free :/

Try a reboot. Mine was thoroughly confused initially after the upgrade, with lots of blank tiles and numerous games claiming to be in two places when I went to manage the game. I let it sit there for a bit and all the tiles slowly un-blanked, and then after a reboot everything now seems fine. Fingers crossed.
