ta, if i kept both, will my progress appear on both? cod levelling, saves etc?

It should do, I have 2 and switch between them a lot. All saves are in the cloud and it even picks up mid level checkpoints in halo 5 if you switch one off and the other one on. Black magic.

How come you have 2?

When you start a game it will sync your save and load all your progress, usually takes seconds. Unless it's a Forza game where it takes forever if you've got lots of cars, paintjobs and tunes. It's cool for going to a friends where you can continue your game essentially on any Bone anywhere.

Just a tip, don't just buy some random USB3 portable drive and expect everything will be great. I got one which made everything load slower, games stutter while loading etc. That or the NXOE really didn't like the drive.

When you say random, do you mean the cheapest possible I've never heard of these guys before but I'll use it anyway kind of thing?

When my 4tb bust it was exactly like is being described - that sounds like one that has taken a knock.

If I'm understanding you correctly you want the xbox to make a request to Netflix/Amazon etc every time you switch it on or indeed every time you are at the dashboard whereby it will request your favourite/most watched shows from their service then present them to you in the one guide? For it to do this it'd have to login to each service using your credentials and in turn that would have to be done for every XB user with an account on whichever service. That doesn't seem likely and I'd imagine Netflix etc wouldn't be too keen on their servers having that sort of additional load placed on them (versus just now where people have to connect via the app on their device of choice so that they're getting the info when they request it rather than at times when they may have no interest in it). I'd imagine there'd be security considerations also.

Seems like a lot of work for something not a lot of people need/want - does this functionality exist somewhere already?

Given the amount of bandwidth these services use, offering up recommendations and whatever else whenever a customer turned their console on would surely be negligible?

And as for having to have every Xbox user signed into their relevant service, surely Microsoft would love that? That is their goal, right? To make the Xbox the go to entertainment device?

And I don't know what security considerations there would be. If someone has signed into the service on their console, it's up to them to choose the most appropriate security settings for the console. Just like they would on their phone, their tablet, their PC, their TV.

"Multiplayer games: The following titles should now correctly connect to multiplayer.

Puyo Puyo Tetris"

I need this in my life.

I remember seeing about it an age ago and it just the idea of it got me rather giddy but read that it was Japan only. Seeing it listed in those update details has given me hope again but a quick search shows nothing to be different from before and it still being Japan only.

Please tell me I'm being a hung over thicko and it's widely available!?!

Is xbox live consistently this flaky or is this all part of the preparations for the new dashboard?

Issues with content seem to be every second day just now. Ive no problem not being able to buy anything but I can't play online games because my fucking profile, including even pinned apps for christ sake are tied to being logged in to Live. Ive checked in case it's me but it's not- the status report confirms problems on their side.

Just did a reset. Now I can see pinned apps and the store but no Friends. I can log into multiplayer games at least now but no idea what's going on with the rest.

No problems here. You've probably already checked but how is your NAT? Have you opened ports on your router, etc?
