Xbox One Console Thread

Had a PS4 and wiiU since launch and am close to buying an XBone. I'm finding it really difficult to justify it though, it's really only Tombraider that is pushing me to buy one and even then it would need to be a universal 9/10 out of 10 kind of game otherwise it's a total no-no. I'm excited about cuphead, that game from the Limbo team and a few other small indie games but I'm just not excited about Xbox exclusives at all. Halo, Forza and Gears are unfortunately just not my cup of tea at all. What other exclusive AAA games are coming out? Does the XBone do anything in particular that the PS4 doesn't?

Just gone through the gamertag list on page 1 and added you all and please do add me if you can be bothered (LenH). Which leads me to a question, it automatically says friend added and shows all in my friends list, does the other person not have to agree to it, as in it's actually a request (like the ps4)? Bit confused...

xbones been winning the most played in the angel household. which is just me in my household. a console that will sell you a pad for half the price of the machine must have some balls. im enjoying the system, i wish it did better versions of COD but its well worth 200 quid of anyones money.

To offer a counterpoint, I think the Forza games are rubbish.

Well, their ridiculous, overly long, tedious, unskippable cutscene introductions to absolutely everything are. The actual driving in FH2 is fun. F6 is just balls.

Worst music ever in FH2. Worst characters ever, too.

Can't skip? I'm pretty sure I've been skipping the cut scenes for new career segments.

I've only played the demo of Forza 6 and in that you definitely can't skip the intro stuff and the narrator talking. Quite annoying, but doesn't really detract from it being a great game. Even better if it isn't like that in the full game. :)

This is the new pro-active MS. "Doesn't matter if it's a bit broken, so long as we fix it real quick like". See Windows 10.

Not so sure its a new MS. :) Remember when the used to throw things out and they were just horrible... remember my brief encounter with Windows Millennium.. :)

As mentioned though there are less and less problems and no fundamental issues to speak of. It is a fairly significant change and generally fair play to them they did well enough with the 360 dash updates.

Lets face it MS are pretty much the only console manufacturer that completely revisits and overalls the front end to their systems. Out of necessity sometimes I guess... (in the XBOs case at least).

I was actually on the 360 the other day and using that interface was just a much better experience than XBO. Probably because I'm used to it but just seemed less hard work to get stuff done.

They haven't "thrown this out" though Matty - they were very, very explicit about what people were getting into if they opted in at the early stage - obviously they should've known that the pissing & whining on the internet would be very loud but that was their choice. I'd imagine if there's a next time it'll be done with a much tighter group probably NDA'd to the heavens.
