Yeah not at liberty to say but two seperate sources and it is a rumour - they may decide to do a steady release of titles rather than drop the motherload.

@MattyP one of the titles that should be there day one is Bayonetta - if that's not 100% there'll be trouble :) Fallows will probably storm Seattle with a nuke strapped to himself.

Marketing. They'd be very, very stupid to go down that route though as it would look pretty shady.

"We've built this functionality into the OS and the games just need repackaging to run on your Xbox One. But we're only going to release 10 per month".

I can see the attraction, but people would rather just have a massive day one catalogue and then a steady stream of additions as publishers agree further releases.

It really does seem like Sony just sat back after doing so well to win so many sales and so much gamer praise.

Market leader with big sales and they've got no big titles for Xmas and no first party titles in a whole year. Yeeesh.

Well they have put out a truckload of re-releases, if that counts at all. I guess it comes down to corporate style, because if you expand to second and third party exclusives Sony's list of published games includes things like Until Dawn, Bloodborne, The Order, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, Galak-Z, Helldivers etc. Sony are never going to compete with Microsoft when it comes to buying up talent, but they have proven themselves rather good at striking up deals with other companies.

I'd argue that who makes the games is irrelevant, providing the games are good. But then I own and enjoy both consoles so what do I know?

Sunset Overdrive is good fun but the game keeps constantly recording unwanted clips of gameplay. According to Google you can only turn this off by turning the entire game DVR feature off - but apparently Microsoft has removed that option in the current dash? Is that true? That can't be right, surely. Is that option going to come back in the new and improved dash? I just want Sunset Overdrive to fucking stop recording shitty videos without asking :(

This is a revenue stream and simultaneously a massive goodwill winner they're playing. I know for sure that whilst I'll have a shit ton of XBLA stuff and other stuff I bought digitally cheap like Max Payne 3 there are tons of others I'll be paying up for to play again. The more choice I have, the more I'll spend.

It's an amusing way for them to bring a load of Street Fighter versions to Xbox one.

Yeah, I think it'd be much better for them to launch with a massive bang rather than "Hey, here's a hundred titles, more soon!" which is the approach Nintendo took with Virtual Console (I realise BC isn't the same, but it's kinda similar) and that was rubbish, when it should have been awesome.

They get deleted after set time if you don't make a point of saving them.

Agreed, but generally, it feels like MS are putting in more effort right now. I mean, there was precious little new content at that recent Paris thing. Just an observation as an owner of both.
