I tried my Turtle Beach one ear PS4 jobby and it outputs both system/game audio as well as chat for some reason, assumed it would just work normally as it just uses a normal headphone jack. The headset that came with console works properly (outputting only chat though).

Oh, if you find the audio too low (like I did) you change the settings under the menu for the pad and not audio.

Probably, I bought without a Kinect and have no intention of ever buying one.

Like I said, it's not a big deal and doesn't really make a difference. Just thought it odd they'd remove that feature that was present on the 360.

I didn't get a headset with the console, should I have done?

Trying my headphones in the pad now - very quiet as you say so will have a play!

Two things, should the psu brick be making a constant noise - like a hum, i assume there is a fan in it but unlike the console its pretty noisy?

I plugged my headphones into the pad, I get a constant sound drop like its on bad wifi or something - anything I can do as the drop outs ruin the music/sound?

Is there a way to record more than about 28 seconds? The PS4 records the last 15 minutes.

Also, I fancy the Upload app degrades the quality. Last night, I saved a clip from Forza, but then wanted to edit it slightly, and I fancy the end product looked more compressed.

The psu fan should be silent. I have to put my head right next to it to hear it.

As for the headphones, have you made sure the controller firmware is up to date? Also try resyncing it as I've read that works as it uses a new channel supposedly and can avoid interference.

Yep, my power brick has sounded the same for near on 2 years now but I have to be very close to hear it.

Glad to see more new owners from the PS4 crowd. Other than the wasted potential in Kinect the Xone has been a brilliant machine for me. Rewind this thread back two years/18 months ago and it was a different place and its good to see some positivity for this console these days.

Now, go and buy Rare Replay, its a great collection and its cheap.

I received the revised (Not Elite) Xbox One controller yesterday & immediatly noticed a very subtle stickiness when I press either of the 2 triggers in.

Pressing both of the triggers on the controller my Xbox One came with reveals no such stickiness. Does anyone else have this with the revised controller?

I'm thinking I may have to send it back to Amazon. :(

My psu has such a noticeable fan hum that it prevents me from having it on Instant On (it's in an av unit now anyway where i fear it would get too hot anyway but still). It has been like this since day one and online reports say it's pot luck to getting a hummer so i never bothered replacing it.

Are the games you get with Xbox One packs are download cards or full retail games?

Some insanely priced bundles going around at the moment.... :) Never a better time to pick up a One and great lineup incoming next year too....

Case by case basis.

But I think generally if it's a part of the bundle MS were responsible for it'll be a card but a bundle in a shop might come with a disc or two as well because the shop, chain or distributor were involved.

For instance the one I saw was Fifa 16, Halo and something else. The first was a card, the latter 2 discs.

I have the Master chief one and the triggers are smooth. No sticking or anything. So much better than the original model

Yep, you can change backgrounds to an image of your choice through settings and "my console" I think. You can also assign achievement art as a background if you so wish.

There are no themes per say but you can choose a colour for your profile which is then used for notifications, etc. Again this is done in the same area as above.

Why are the game boxes backwards? It's such a little thing but just odd.

I thought that too when I first got one... :) Wonder if its MS just being different or there is some manufacturing process that is more efficient when the disks are on that side. Who knows. Maybe even a design mistake and a huge batch of cases were ordered...

We need a new users guide stickied. I might do one the timing is awkward with the new dash incoming

Ref background pics once you take some screenshots (accessible via upload) or access your onedrive you can press menu (start) on any picture and there's an option to set as background.

I thought the deal at Argos I took was decent, the prices seem to be falling more and more on a daily basis. I know I'm going to be kicking myself come Black Friday, mind you if you thought that way you'd never end up buying anything I suppose and after seeing the carnage at the shops last year I'm not going anywhere near a town/city centre on that day.

Game capturing, do you have to load up the DVR app each time before you load a game - I read something that said to double tap the xbox button and to select the DVR but it wasn't there until I added it to the side bar!?!?!?!?!

I don't think I have ever been so confused by a console, either I am turning into my Dad or this UI is a bit of a mess with no explanations anywhere of this stuff!!!

You can also set any picture you like as the background, by putting it on a USB stick. Can't remember exactly how you choose it, but I've had one of the Fallout 4 wallpapers as mine for a while.
