Mine is solid now there's only a couple of things - this is on the console I had to factory reset so I guess it's "cleaner". Saying that the other one was fine too after the last update apart from occasional games taking too long to start but even they worked on a second try.

I'm pretty unimpressed by the new dashboard; it feels like it's exactly the same as before in terms of functionality, they've just shuffled everything round. It reminds me of first getting an X1 and having to decrypt the front end before I could find anything.

Having major issues with the new Dashboard. Anyone else?

It hangs, crashes & in general feels like I'm wading through treacle. I don't understand how can they release such shit, preview or not.

Been pretty slick for me apart from the voice commands in Plex see I g to appear ever so fractionally slower than I remember. You know when you say "Xbox select" and it displays all the commands you can say that are applicable to that page? They appear a tiny bit slower than I remember. But only in Plex. Maybe an app update will sort that out. No biggy.

Other than that, the new dash has been pretty fast. I watched the intro video and the 10 shortcuts video that the Xbox suggests you watch and have been using it no problems since then. I like it.

The only app I had some issues with post update was Netflix. It seemed to stutter the image every 30 secs or so and hard reset didn't work. Using it the last couple of days it seems back to normal.

I don't like the fact that Oneguide, which I don't use, is the next page after your homescreen. The store should sit immediately after as that's what I'm most likely to use.

Made the mistake of buying the Game branded play and charge kit a few months back...It's rubbish TBH steer clear of it.

Probably get around 2 hours gaming out of a single charge. Used to use the official P&C kits on the 360, decided to give the game one a go.

Anyway took it back for a refund. Had lots of game credit (for some reason) so just got an official MS P&C kit and its been great so far. Sometimes things are false economies.*

* I know you can faff around with re-chargeable batteries etc but just like the convenience of the MS P&C kits.

The official Play & Charge kits seem to have ridiculously good playtime.

I guess they've just used really high quality batteries, which I suppose is what you'd expect for £20.

I've got two official and one game one. I'm not being funny MattyP but you did realise the charge port is on the battery not the controller with the game one? It's easy to plug into the wrong one by accident.

They're not as good as official but I get easy 10-12 hours from the Game one.

:) Yes ....And noted the green light the comes on to tell you its charging too. ;) Maybe mine was indeed faulty. Anyway couldn't be bothered trying another game one (PITA to go back to the store again so just went with the official one)

Another nice touch - if you have that problem where a controller isn't assigned to you and so the mic doesn't work and voices come out the TV you'll find an alert in party which takes you straight to device manager so you can assign the controller. Happened to me going from guitar hero to gears.

Went bank to my bone, a combination of all the positivist in the thread and a desire to complete ac unity before I get whatever the new one is, I forget...

Its been downloading and updating in the background for a while so it was ready to go...

Oh my fucking god!

There was a loading screen when I tried to view my games.

A. LOADING. SCREEN.

You all said it was faster. Pushing right on the pad, theres a windows style taskbar, right?

Yeah, eventually... I should film it or something.

Mind you, this is on the preview, rather than any of the 'normal' updates. Perhaps that's where you find the speed increase people talked about? Maybe I should quit the preview, but I really like the BC that comes with it.

My Bone has downloaded 202GB's since the 10th October and in that time I've not bought any games for it... In fact since the 10th December 2014 I've downloaded 1.4TB's ...

Seems excessive

Do you watch anything on it? Netflix, Amazon prime, YouTube?

We get through at least 250gb a month watching Amazon prime.
