IT really is. Plus it's still as laggy as it was before so I don't know where people are getting this smooth experience from tbh. It was instant and easy to snap things before.. Now it's a fucking drag! Urgh I really dislike this entire thing! Why are my games and apps relegated to the bottom of the home screen... What I mean is that you have to scroll all the way down to access it! Why isn't it front and centre like it was previously? .. It's just a cluttered mess Imo. If Xbox didn't reset to factory settings when you opted out then I would of gone back to the old dash already. Here's to hoping the public release is a lot more up to scratch and actually resembles that e3 preview they had for the new dashboard - because that actually looked good

New dashboard is garbage! Want the old one back already : ( so many issues with it aesthetically. It looks so bland and lifeless, the blacks of the dashboard aren't even black, colors are completely washed out. I always had my background as pure black, now they are can't even get the colour black right.. It's a light grey even when you choose black lol. Always 4 steps back with Microsoft. Snapping isn't anywhere near as quick or convonient, the little grid that popped up before when you double tapped the Xbox button was so much more convenient than this long winded rubbish of opening up and window on the left, scrolling all the way to the bottom then clicking snap then choosing what you want to snap... Just give me the old dashboard back

Full RGB? Can't you R Trigger to jump to the bottom?

No problems finding anything, Seems very simple on that front. Quite alot of crashes back to the main menu though, Oh and the achievement app seems to be glitchy/broken.

Has anyone else had a huge boost in download speeds with the new dash? I was getting around 2/3rds of the download speed I get on PC but with the latest update it's hitting around 1.8 to 2 MB a second. PSN is downloading around 250-400k range.

I just got the dash today and think it looks great. The colour scheme is better, love the simpler look. Prefer the pins/tiles down below where they are now, and it does seem faster.

No crashes either, and Titanfall loaded ok.

So, after less than an hour...

My first annoyance is that there are three adverts to the right of the main Destiny (ie. Resume Playing) tile. Surely this should be where the top three Games/Apps should be, or even the "My games and apps" tile which instead now requires five (gasp) button presses to get to.

The Community tab is just a news feed of what friends are up to, game clips recorded etc.

The OneGuide tab is an absolute fucking disaster rammed full of Microsoft trying to sell you movies and tv shows. Stay away.

The Store seems to be fairly unchanged. It introduces the separate Games, Apps, Movies and Music tabs once you move over to it.

It is very quick though. Snap Friends is almost instant which is good to see.

As to be expected, voice commands make everything a little more user friendly.

I've just got it, and hate pretty much all of it. It's all very disappointing. Still, I'm sure they'll keep iterating until they get it right.

Is anyone else getting weird symbols where text should be? I'm getting it on the sign in bit and for the Achievements app.

The achievement app was working for me tonight and I already prefer the layout of games being small tiles in lines of three and scrolling down through them with One, 360 and Phone games all in the same list.

They need to change the "my games and apps" to work in a similar way.

My Xbox has locked up/crashed twice and switched itself off twice in the last hour mid race in Forza6.

It's been a bit buggy since I got the new dash installed on Wednesday with odd fonts and nonsense words etc in menus and such like but nothing thats effected my gaming until today.

And now it's telling me it can't get my save data for forza and I can't sign in using kinect

I'll try a hard reset and hope that sorts it out. Kind of wish I hadn't signed up for this shit now.

Looks lovley though and its really quick ????

Anyone else experiencing this level of problem?

I disagree about it looking lovely, and yes, I'm getting crashes pretty frequently. Sometimes it just hangs, sometimes there's a "Generic error" message when it crashes, sometimes the screen goes black for a few seconds before returning to the dashboard and occasionally it's just switched itself off.

It also seems to take ages to sign me in now. It used to be really quick. Now it's around thirty seconds. And sometimes it doesn't recognise me and I have to sign in manually.

I was being slightly sarcastic with that line ☺

Hard reset seems to have fixed the save data and signing in problem and it hasn't crashed again during 12 laps of Rio so far, so fingers crossed its not going to happen too often.

I was getting used to it after a short look around last night. The Oneguide screen is awful though, what is all that MS Video shit they're trying to push on us? I was trying to work out how to change those tabs to show my Freeview, Netflix and Amazon video feeds but I couldn't work it out or maybe it's not possible. I hope they alter that for the full release or that page is essentially useless.
