If you're just buying for Halo I'd be after a .5tb model yeah then buy it digitally from the U.S. For £37. Job done for under £300.

It won't be just for Halo but that's the main reason. I'm thinking with backwards compatibility I might fill the hd more quickly.

I guess weigh it all then - a 2tb usb powered drive will be about £50? Having said that I'm down to about 400gb left from 2.5tb but I go digital for everything.

Yeah my controller does seem to lose sync with the xbone every now and again - if I plug it in with the usb lead then power off the machine and do a full reboot it usually detects again. It's no hassle to me as it's about 3 feet from my seat in the man cave to the xbone so I can hit the power on with my toe :) but it's been an issue since day 1 on the machine.

Whatever you do, get an external hard drive. 500GB isn't enough, and neither is 1TB to he honest. The Xbox One supports external hard drives up to 5TB. Just make sure it's USB3.

also castle crashers confirmed to come to backwards compability! just made a thread on it. hoped for a discount if i owned it previously, but didn't expect a freebie. would've been happy to put some money down for it again as it was one of the best (the best) value for money arcade games that i ever bought!

I've got superfast Virgin so should be fine with that. Does it provide a viable alternative to playing on a TV? It's mainly for Destiny in the living room while my housemates are watching TV.

It's nothing to do with your broadband connection. It's to do with how fast your network is in the house.

For instance if you have a strong wireless signal to your tablet from your wifi router.

30fps games are fine - there's a "very high" mode which supposedly can manage 1080p/60 but you'd need both wired for that I reckon. Destiny should run well. I'd recommend at least one of the devices is wired to the router.

I've found the streaming from Windows 10 to Xbox One to be amazing visually, I honestly couldn't tell the difference.

It's just the slight bit of input lag which jars for me. It's not a lot, but just enough to put me off. Does anyone know the likelihood of Microsoft being able to eliminate that so it's not noticeable? Or is it again just down to how fast your home network is?

Couldn't you eliminate that by leaving the controller paired with the console?

Have done both, The boss fights are a lot of fun and feel very rewarding when done via coop as the AI is very on point with targeting. I'll be starting a fresh again tomorrow to support the devs as they've made a really fun game.

Found a few more reviews:

“Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime reminds me of why I love video games.”
10/10 – Destructoid
“Simply brilliant, from the gameplay that isn’t repetitive and gives you so much replay value it should be criminal, to the simply stunning visuals and music.”
9/10 – Xbox One UK
“Both hardcore and novice gamers alike have likely found their match in Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.”
4/5 – HardcoreGamer

Lag has nothing to do with bandwidth - it's mostly to do with encoding video, this generally requires at least three frames ahead in order build the motion vectors needed for compressed video. This builds in a 4 frame delay to all streaming and that's before you include encode/decode time and any other network latency.
