They do get stopped at the border reasonably often these days so hopefully that won't happen to you.

Well I nearly joined the club then but Game's total inflexibility in regards to changing the bundled game from lego batman to rare replay means no sale from me. Game really are shit aren't they.

They will have got Lego Batman for 50p or something daft if it's in a bundle. Swapping it with a £15 copy of rare replay would literally make them lose money on the transaction.

Well lovely for the customer that is imo.

Well actually it is, because the choice is between that bundle and no bundle at all. Margins on consoles are basically nil.

Already got it and wearing it now. I don't know if it's a fake or one out the backdoor of the factory but the shirts I have had from there for other people are exactly the same as my "real" ones. The quality is fantastic.

I even got the new chelsea strip for the little un from there two months before official release with her name and number on for 11 quid.

One polyester shirt made in a chinese sweatshop is pretty much the same as another polyester shirt made in a chinese sweatshop.

Back on gaming topic they also have xbox one wireless pads for £22 delivered on there. Buyer feedback on them is great

Well, I'm in. And greeted by those magical words "This game requires an update". 4.6Gb of it. Went out while it downloaded and FH2 is so, so pretty. And by jiminy the controller is rather lovely. I'll download Storm Island overnight (can you schedule downloads?) and then I've got a week off to rinse this thing and other games.

Forza Horizon 2 is great, but I don't like how much it pushes the DLC. I finished a championship in the second location, so I knew a road trip to the next location was coming, and then Sean Maguire Off Grange Hill launched into a cutscene all about how the next location would be an epic off-road experience with torrential rain conditions, etc etc, and I need to get myself to the docks immediately! A big throbbing icon appeared at the docks, and the satnav set it as the destination.

Then a popup appeared telling me to buy Storm Island for 15 quid.

Fuck off, Sean Maguire Off Grange Hill. Not cool. You should only push my game progress towards Storm Island if I choose to install the DLC, not before.

Cons:

- The power brick is just annoyingly loud enough to affect sleep in my bedroom, but killing the power kills the game suspend feature (which I've come to find essential, can't believe I ever lived without it).

I'd look at seeing if MS will exchange it. I'm sat about 2 feet from the power brick for the XB1 in my bedroom as I type this and I can't hear it at all. It is set to instant on as well.

Indeed. We have two Xbones in the house and both of them are pretty damn quiet, and that includes the power brick.

Yes, just had that happen. More than a bit naughty, as is pushing the Porsche expansion pack as well. I was going to get Storm Island anyway, but that was a bit annoying.

I'm loving Instant On. Not quite sure of my way around the UI yet, but that feature is bloody amazing.

I've read up on how to replace it. Feels like too much hassle. Apparently you have to pay for the shipping to send your faulty brick back, then wait 2 to 3 weeks for a new one, then there's a 50/50 chance that the new one they give you will be loud too (since the experience of people having loud ones seems about 50/50).

I don't feel like lugging the whole damn console back to Argos either... curse the social anxiety of being too afraid to take things back to shops.

As long as it's not dangerously faulty, just loud, it's the kind of thing I'm likely to just suffer.

I'm on my 3rd power brick and all three have made a noise. Definitely some cheapo fan they've used.

My current one is noisy but nowhere near as bad as the first which made a high-pitched whistling noise as well as the fan sound - sounded like it was about to explode. The two were made by different manufacturers, so it's pot-luck whose you'll get and what parts they used.

My Xbox is really quiet though - impressive :)

amazon prime lovefilm thing is better on the bone though. the kinect pauses playback, if you walk out, or if someone underage walks in while watching rated content.

For what it's worth, Lego Batman 3 is very, very good.

Chances are, that bundle was sold to them from a supplier, and they have to provide it as a bundle without splitting. If they do split or swap they can loose suppliers.

Source - I know of a large-ish chain currently being investigated by centre soft for bundle splitting. They may loose their distribution rights from CS

I don't know who centre soft are, but I'm guessing they don't have a monopoly, and there are loads of other suppliers dying to supply retailers?

No power brick noise here either. There's obviously something wrong with it.

Yeah, my console is set to Instant on and the power brick is silent. Get in touch with Microsoft, I imagine they'll send you a new one no problem.

Biggest supplier in the uk. They also do about 90% of Xbox stuff.

If you bought anything Xbox in the uk, I'd put money on CentreSoft being the supplier.

Well I gotta disagree with everyone supporting game cos boo hoo it's due to their supplier. As someone whose job is to focus on customers and strip waste and bollocks from processes and departments then customer is king, focus on the customer.

So it's all a bit off to me. However remembered I can get 10% off if my sister in law comes to Tesco with me. So I'll get one from there with rare replay cos I don't think I can resist much longer.

Honest question... what happens if you have an adult dwarf in the family? How does Kinect treat dwarves?
