Big fan of these guys work, Kalimba and Max we're both brilliant games.

You can check out the concepts and provide feedback via their website: http://microsoftstudios.com/press-play/

There's also a ton of gameplay demonstrations of the three titles on their youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/user/maxandthemagicmarker/videos

Vote page (closes Sept 1st):

It's interesting but I can't help but think that this sort of thing is the opposite of what I'd like to see. I don't really want committee developed games, in theory this should give us all really exciting games that really cuts to the heart of what players would like to see but in practice, I wonder if the overwhelming preference of the mainstream will push for everything to be as close to the lowest common denominator as possible.

I notice that the Xbox backwards compatibility vote is dominated by Call Of Duty - five of the top ten choices. This makes sense because those games sell in their millions, far more than some of Video Games' most celebrated more niche titles. I worry that too much community engagement means some of those titles are less likely to be made, I realise it's not necessarily an either or choice but it makes me uneasy, nonetheless. For years everyone's talked about growing gaming but this sort of thing surely preaches to the largest group at the core of gaming, not even preaching to the already converted but the very centre of the bell curve depicting of gaming's taste preference.

I get what's in it for a studio who are making a game, but for people who might like to be surprised, it's potentially a bit disappointing.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

As of yesterday, both my xbone controllers are not being recognised by the Windows 10 xbox app on one of my PCs. I've been using the streaming on this PC since Windows 10 launched, no problem.

On the troublesome PC, when I plug in a controller, the controller now vibrates for about two seconds, which is a new thing. It appears as a known device in Device Manager, and the driver details seem OK, but the Xbox app says "there is no controller connected", and it doesn't work. If I fire up the Control Panel, and go to "Devices & Printers", it's there as "Controller" and the Properties shows all buttons/sticks as working.

When I plug in a controller to the PC that works, there is no vibration, and the Xbox app is happy to use it.

I tried uninstalling the latest Cumulative Update, but it hasn't helped. WTF has happened?

EDIT: forget it, reinstalled Win10 clean and that (as well as several other problems) have disappeared.

I've got Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive already, looking at Ori and Rare Replay.

FM6 tipped me right over the edge. Looks so damned good.

Titanfall worth a punt although EA Access has it so get that. Probably not cost much more and you get a lot more game for your money.

Ori is fucking fantastic.

Ignore everyone's suggestions until you've played the games you've got or you'll be drowning in a pit of unfinished regret.

You would say that seeing as he's already got Horizon!

I'm not an online FPS fan (or indeed much of an FPS fan) so Titanfall is right out. Theoretically EA Access should be right up my street but I've fallen out of love with the NHL games and care little for FIFA or Madden. OTOH, 20 quid is a ridiculously cheap price.

Can you use a 360 headset in the XBone controller?

So yesterday I sold my ps4 and games, replaced the ones I wanted to keep for xbone versions, added a 2tb external drive and now am committed to a bone only future.

I wouldn't have expected to do this at the start of the gen but have come to really prefer gaming on the bone, prefer the controller and the efforts Microsoft are making to regain ground.

Plus after installing all 12 of my disc games I've only used less than 20% of my storage space!

The only reason we have the PS4 still is for the PSPlus content and the fact it is technically my son's.

We find now though that most multiplatform stuff if being bought for the Xbox.

The turnaround is amazing

A one console future feels so liberating.

I've just moved and I've only set up the PS4 so far, and it is really quite nice.

I keep meaning to set up the Bone but the lack of clutter and need is putting me off. It may well just stay in it's box until Halo 5 unless I find a good deal on Sunset Overdrive.

I'm buying a 4tb external soon for my Bone, I went with getting MGSV for it as Game sold out of the PS4 LE. I'm also planning on getting Forza 6 & Halo 5 this year, plus maybe Rise of the Tomb Raider. I bought Destiny: The Taken King when it was on offer too and am going to jump to the Bone to re-try Destiny.

I've been warming to it more and more all year though, thanks to Titanfall, the voice controls and the back compatibility incoming. Also having the new guy in charge talk a lot of sense has changed my perception somewhat. Oh, and I'm very tempted to bootcamp install Win 10 on my MBP to do the streaming thing.

I am still going to get a majority of the multi plat stuff on PS4 for now as I've got more friends and forumites on it though.

Welcome to the converts club! I would have bought a XBO at launch if MS hadn't have cocked up their launch message so much. Thankfully they have sensible people back in charge and things just keep getting better.

Not looked back since ditching the PS4 after the Driveclub fiasco. In fact I was going to ditch this whole gen of consoles then I played Forza Horizon 2...Then Sunset Overdrive.... then saw the trailer for Crackdown 3... then Forza 6....well etc etc. Happy gamer here again...

Could someone please invite me to the preview program? I was in it previously, but when my original Xbox one was stolen I left it at the same time as canceling my console and removing all payment information and changing my passwords and all that.

Re: the bit I've bolded, same. However, Driveclub turned out to be a fantastic game once they managed to overcome whatever issues affected them initially.

I've been back on it recently playing with my son. So good. The rank chip is amazing it really adds more incentive.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't find the app anywhere to download it.

Go to my games & apps then the apps row and scroll to the far right then wait for it to fill up the "ready to install" area - hopefully it'll pop up there?
