BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME !!1

ID@Xbox titles will have unity between Xbox One, Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile and Hololens allowing indie developers an easy solution to simultaniously launch on all devices.

Microsoft is looking at ways to expand its ID@Xbox program to other platforms now that the company is closely reaching its universal OS goal. The program itself has enabled smaller indie developers and game studios to launch an original title on the console without going through a large publishing arm. According to VRFocus, Microsoft plans to bring ID@Xbox to Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile and HoloLens.

The three platforms mentioned each share a library of APIs as part of the Universal Windows platform, and VRFocus reports that HoloLens will follow suit. It will enable developers to take advantage of all available Microsoft platforms with only minimal effort required to get everything working. With Windows 10 being adopted by millions of consumers already, Microsoft hopes it will be able to court developers in releasing their work on mobile and VR.

Also from the sounds of the dev's twitter feed, Rocket League is soon to be ported to Xbox One.

I wonder if they're importing stock from somewhere? Game definitely think they've got an exclusive on this.

I just checked Amazon.fr, and it's £105 there, so I assume they're not selling European stock here.

Fingers crossed they get despatched!

The US date seems to be a solid 31st of October, There were a few thoughts that the UK date was something like October the 15th but nothing concrete yet.

It's an odd one as on the official webpage it shows pre-order buttons for both Game and Amazon:

Any more info on that Warhammer: Vermintide? Not seen that anywhere before that video.

Edit: Found a bit more info, taken from Steam:

Vermintide is a co-operative action first person shooter and melee combat adventure set in the End Times of the iconic Warhammer Fantasy universe.

Might be good, but I think it might be more L4Dead than an actual adventure game.

Extended gameplay demo of Scalebound:

Just watched it - Jaw dropping, I think they must have had problems at the conference as the frame rate in this vid is near perfect (you've got to stick it on 720p though as the IGN player is terrible) The visuals are insane and the big boss circa eight minutes in looks fab.

Love it.

It's definitely more L4D than an adventure game. Four player co op, AI that randomly spawns mobs and dynamic levels so each play through is fresh (though I think that's more about different paths opening up than an entirely new level generated). Special enemies that can pull you away from your team (smokers) or giant Ogre Rats that are big and, you might say, tanky.

That doesn't mean it look's bad though. The melee combat looks pretty weighty and I like the addition of loot and more varied consumables. It seems to me like Dragon Age Inquisition's muiltiplayer added into a L4D formula. I think it looks promising.

A couple of good videos:

Just tried GOW, the first 360 backwards compatible title I've tried, seriously impressed with how smoothly it all ran. I half expected frame drops and the like but it all seemed fine.

Given that everyone accepted software emulation was impossible this seems even more impressive work by Microsoft's engineers.

What a year for the Xbox. They're really doing everything in their power to show people how good this console is. Surely even the most cynical of people from the E3 reveal must be softening by now.

I wonder what MW jimmy is thinking about things these days...

So...what's good about it then? Besides Rare Replay and Cuphead.
