I've just tried setting up streaming, and all OK except sound - should I expect the audio just to play from the laptop speakers automatically?

Just realised since upgrading to Windows 10 my laptop isn't playing any sounds...should probably fix that first haha

Be warned - there is a day one patch for Kings Quest Ep one which is as large again as the initial install. "Ready to play" for this game simply means access to the brief prologue.

Streamed a few games of Destiny Iron Banner to my laptop last night and was seriously impressed. There was the tiniest amount of lag which I only noticed because of the 'echo' between the sound from the TV and the laptop. It wasn't enough to affect my game.

Being able to record up to 2 hours of continuous gameplay is pretty cool. I'd like to see some form of Upload Studio so we can edit videos with effects etc. As all wwe can do at the moment is trim and save a copy.

I had that too, go into speaker properties and up the khz to 96000. Worked for me

Also for anyone having difficulties streaming make sure you have updated your Xbox app in the Windows store.

Is there an adapter required for using the Xbox One controller when streaming?

If you're in range you can just leave the pad connected to the console.

You can join parties from the app even with the console switched off which took me by surprise.

Well just upgraded my PC to Windows 10... first thing to try was streaming... how good is this? Nice and smooth...

Also to note it works fine with a Xbox 360 controller hooked up to a PC as thats what I've been using to test it! (wireless pad with dongle for PC).

Impressive stuff lag free as far as I can tell too...

Grrrrr! I can't get past 16% of the most recent system update! Tried unplugging it for a while to clear the cache but no joy.

There's a way to manually eject a disc with a paperclip or piece of solid wire:

That's good to hear. I know PC CD/DVD drives had a small hole where you could force the tray to come out, but didn't think a slot loader would do the same. My dealing's with Microsoft support have been pretty good, so I'm sure that they'll sort me out.

Worth checking on the support site to see when your warranty runs out mate, you never know, I bought mine in October, second hand, think the chap had already had it for some time, but when it broke, I still had a lot of warranty on it.

Had to wait for it to go away and come back, but they give you a 1 month XBL card for the inconvenience, so definitely worth checking online or giving them a call.

just turned on my xbox and it looks like absolute dog shit. was working perfectly yesterday, today it loads up at 640x480 resolution and i can't seem to get it back to normal, haven't changed anything around or fiddled with any wires/settings since yesterday to make it do something like this.. very odd. tried a hard reset and unplugging/plugging in wires but its still the same.

edit: well the moment i get on to xbox support 1080p just reappears on the list of available resolutions so all seems fine now. i guess just a glitch, my eyes no longer bleed.
