I'm playing* Destiny too. I've also preordered TTK which I promised myself I wasn't going to do but I had some money back from the rewards program so in effect I've only paid £20 for it.

*My skill level stretches the phrase to breaking point. It would be more accurate to say that I am being carried through by more skilled players.

Good to see some new boners on the forum. I'm coming up to a year since I got mine now, best gaming decision I've made in years. I've had Titanfall, three and a half Halo campaigns, one of my favourite racing games of all time in Forza Horizon 2, 2 of my favourite games full stop in Dark Souls 2 SOTFS and Destiny, currently playing Arkham Knight which just shows what these new boxes can do.

It's the machine that got me back into gaming in a big way, after a few lethargic years. I try really hard to complete everything I purchase and now actually play with mates online again after convincing them to pick one up.

It's a great machine, and with everything coming up this Christmas (including the return of a certain chief...) it's only going to get better!

Agree. Glad to have one back.... Great roster of games heading to it this winter too. Think after the 360 its rapidly becoming my favourite console by far....

MS must be wondering why sales are still sluggish with PS4 doing 2:1 according to that reliable source that is VGChartz(!)... Still sales seem healthy enough and I expect this winter it will fly off the shelves. Some great exclusives coming for every taste.

Personally don't think as a package, media, games and online service quality it can be touched. And it keeps on getting better (as mentioned).

Mostly down to a terrible terrible launch meaning the momentum went with PS4 and will stay with it for a long time.

I think having the slightly less powerful machine won't have made a huge difference but that initial run up to launch and beyond nobbled them with the early adopters and after that it was going to be hard to pull it back as people started to choose the console based on where friends were.

Also, the PS4 is selling in way more countries than XboxOne is.

I play waaaaaaay more on my XboxOne than my PS4 and I genuinely consider it the better machine for my needs, but I'm resigned to the fact that the Ps4 is going to keep that 2:1 ratio for most of the lifetime of this gen. Which is fine as long as the XboxOne carries on doing what it's doing this year.

So, I got a Kinect today. Is there anything I should get? I know Xbox Fitness offers lots of stuff for free, so I've already got that.

Shape Up looks like it could be fun, and is only £10, but the version with all of the contents is much more.

I've no idea what I should be looking for. I want some fitness stuff, general fun stuff, and stuff that the kids will enjoy too.

Yeah think it will unfortunately. Think its still ahead of Xbox 360 sales at the same point in its life.

I wouldn't ever consider getting another PS4 not even for Gran Turismo or Uncharted now... I was thoroughly disappointed during the year or so I owned it both with PSN and the games I bought it for. :)

Anyway... like you say so long as MS keep up like they are happy gamer here... also even better they have announced backward compatibility.

I don't mind them chasing Sony to be honest. Everyone who has one knows how good it is and that's because MS are playing catch up, so they're constantly evolving it. If they took the lead then maybe they'd become as complacent as Sony and nobody wants that. As it is we've got it great being the underdog. Long may Sony rule!

I pretty much want a Xbone for the master chief collection and having just listened to the Cane and Rinse podcast on Halo 3 my resolve is weakening...

A quick question, I use the Astro mixamp on my PS4 and I assume it will work on the Xbone but then I remembered there being something odd about optical out on the machine - does it all work and give 5.1 through my headphones?

Quick question though: I've been keeping my eye on second hand Bones on Gumtree and sellers are saying that digital download games are tied to the console and therefore even if I use my own gamertag and/or wipe the HDD, that I can still access these games. Can anyone confirm this is true? Thanks

... which is great for someone who is getting into the XB1 at this stage, but a bit crap for existing PS4 owners. I suspect a closer race benefits the most people.

Then people need to vote with their wallets and dump Sony.

It's bollocks. Everything is tied to the account. You can delete the original account from a conse and still play downloaded games, but you can't redownload them if you need to etc.

If you delete them or format the machine then they are gone.
