Invite sent.

What i find a bit odd is on the 360 you press the guide button and can swap between profiles easily, and the whole thing changes to that person' spec. On the One if you change profile it's almost as if the previous profile is now using the new profile's account.

My boy was playing and he had finished, so i swapped to me, went to the preview program app to send Karumba an invite, and it said 'this is above (boys account) age rating.' Also happens in games, from memory, where you swap accounts but are playing as the previous one.

Could this be because of his age i have it set so i am his parent?

The preview app always asks me again which profile I want to use. I assume because all three accounts I think are signed up to be preview accounts. I think it's the only app I can remember doing that. Everything else switches seamlessly and completely.

What I really like is that any logged in account gets notifications recent to them for friends etc and the notifications are colour coded to the one you set for your profile so very easy to spot who they're for. I really like the Multi user setup the OS has.

Does anyone who has Kinect ever have a problem where you switch off the console (into instant on mode) and the console shuts down, but the Kinect light stays on, then goes off, then comes on etc etc and the console never shuts down properly?

Shirubagan, I've added you as a friend and invited you to the preview dash. Edit: too late!

Are you in the preview program? Few people having issues like this myself included. I'm convinced it's a software fault not hardware.

I actually have two Xbox Ones and they both do it. One is in the preview program and one isn't.

Peeveen, added you and sent you an invite. Hopefully you get it.

I still haven't received an invite despite being sent at least two over a week ago. Does it have to be someone on your friends list that sends it?

Not everybody gets in and I suspect after E3 there has been a ridiculous explosion in requests to join. If you go to the far right of your apps and wait see if any of the preview apps appear as available to download. My son seems to be in the same boat as you but he can access the apps as his Xbox is set as my home machine.

Mine does this occasionally. I had a different one the other day where the kinect light stayed on while the console was off, and when I switched the xbone on it said the kinect wasn't attached, had to do a full shutdown.

Oh and I'm not in the preview programme.

When you switch to your account did you log his out? You can have more than one account signed in at once. I think the box assumes that the account holder is present if they are signed in even if they are not the current active account and so any age-rated material needs to be approved for their profile.

The free game with gold for July, So Many Me is well worth a go by the way. Don't know if anyone mentioned it previously (too lazy to go back and check) but it's a great little platformer with some quite challenging section. Not quite Super Meat Boy but for free you can't argue.

Will probs check out Ryse cos I've never picked it up but the fact I know there are multiplayer achievements is already putting me off (Sorry, achievement whore.)

Apologies for being thick but how is F: New Vegas backwards compatible? Thought that just meant you could download for free on 360 not play on X1. Either way, clever move by MS considering Fallout 4 is now only a few months away.

If that's Fallout New Vegas and Catherine free on 360 I'll be really happy. I sold Catherine ages ago and would love to replay it.

I just finished it last week, really good puzzle game, but bloody tough. Don't know what all the cartoon stuff is about though!

I would implore people to try out that Tembo the Badass Elephant game - it's really good reminds me of Metal Slug in some ways. The 15 minute trial is perfectly gauged you're just getting into it and it stops

Just like the Life is Strange trial.
