Will do. Getting it all slowly sorted as I fumble about the menus.

Maybe it's because it's the first time I'm doing anything but everything seems to take a while to load. Also the store is a bit confusing. Is there any way to see what I already own? The search is good but that and what the current games with gold aren't obvious.

I find the store layout better on SmartGlass - it jumps straight into the Gold members section where you can see the currently free and discounted games.

Everything you own is under my games and apps - on the store I think it says "download again" if you already own it but there isn't any overall differentiation.

edit: Every time I try to open the avatar editor it tells me something went wrong. :huh:

I think it pulls a lot of stuff down to do with your friends list and stuff that speeds it up going forwards. It can vary depending on your network speed it's very network reliant. For games you own just go to my games and apps then the games row and scroll to the far right - where it says "look for more games in the store" if you leave it sitting there for a moment it'll check what games you own and will change and show "ready to install" where all the games you own will be listed.

dont see point in play n charge kit always preferred AAs in controller.. I have 4 eneloops , 2 in controller when they run out swap them for fresh pair stick old pair on charge. Charge lasts for aaaaages... way way longer than PS4 controller so I never run out of battery.

I know some plug in controller after every play so I see how that is useful but I tend to leave it lying around due to amazon instant video use regularly (fireman sam and leg movie lol)

It's only short and doesn't hold much replay value, but it's absolutely brilliant. You'd be mad to miss it.

Games on Gold.

On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ($29.99 ERP) for free during the month of July. So Many Me ($14.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from July 16th to August 15th.

On Xbox 360, starting Wednesday, July 1st, Plants vs. Zombies ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through July 15th. Then on July 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Gears of War 3 ($19.99 ERP) for free through July 31st.

I had ordered a PS4 this week but cancelled it and got the xbox instead. My thinking is that the games look practically identical so that's not a concern, easier to add more storage, can eventually pick up 360 games for pennies and most importantly MS have deeper pockets so can afford to just keep throwing money at it with exclusives and AAA games for gold titles till it's a bigger success

I'm really liking this thing. I think the menus and stuff are pretty obtuse at first but there's a lot in there. I like the new pad, though to be honest with you I can't tell much of a difference from the 360 one having used it for a few hours - the new bumpers are probably worse, though.

£309.99 down to £181 after trading in a great deal of junk. Took the guy three goes through the till and being patronised by his manager to get it all said and done.

Ori and Witcher going on sale in Trading as soon as I find out if Witcher is a code or a boxed copy.

I added the Fast and the Furious to my account a few weeks ago. Do I need a Gold sub to play it or will a trial do?

No, do not sell Ori! It is magnificent.

They've just released a revised pad which adds a standard 3.5mm audio jack, and has much improved bumpers. Chances are the bundles available now have the original included, but going forward they obviously won't. Nor will the original pads be available to buy once the stock goes.

My Xbox has failed to log me into Live 3 times in a row, now (I've got a passcode on it). Getting a bit worried.

Call customer service, they're very good.

Yeah, I hear they new pads are in the 1TB models but I wasn't going to spend the extra £40 for it. These bumpers don't bother me that much, it's just the only thing that I think is probably functionally worse.

Aesthetically I think the new guide button is uglier than the old one.

And I managed to sort the sign in thing by rebooting the thing. Very odd. I think downloading Fast and Furious is maxing out my connection or something because everything else seems to be broken.

It's just I'm moving into a new place and trying to find a job in a new city and didn't want to buy a Xbox one just yet - maybe September time.

They recently added the function to claim one games via the 360, I guess you could do it through the marketplace website too.

Well I have been out of the gaming loop for a while and as posted earlier I picked up an xbone this week and i've only just discovered ea access...

Old news for everyone else of course but it's made me even happier with my choice.
