Still waiting for gears beta, but while doing so am playing battleblock theatre and installing perfect dark, toy soldiers, defense grid, alien hominid and a world of keflings. Excellent! also if anyone wants to be invited still to the preview program add me on the box and I'll send some out later, gt in sig

I'm still waiting impatiently for my invite to the preview after nige invited me last night. How does it work? Am I waiting for an email or will the message show up on smartglass or is it only on the console itself?

Can't wait to try some of those BC games.

I don't know what MS criteria are but being invited doesn't automatically mean you get in for some reason. If you're accepted you receive a message visible on the console and xbox.com which allows you to download the Preview app.

You run the Preview app, accept the terms and then wait up to 72 hours for them to push a dashboard update down to you. I received my invite on Sunday, downloaded the Preview app yesterday and got the dashboard update at lunchtime today.

Same here. Cross your fingers!

If you played 1-3 and judgement you didn't need to register. It's just a complete fuckup. I'm gutted.

Jaysus. I was so psyched yesterday when they said the beta was going live for a week; it'll probably be half done by the time we get codes.

I wonder if the BC stuff means they might give us access to older Live Arcade games. I've a fair few I'd love to bring over.

I'm hoping they do too, spent an absolute ton of cash on them and really miss playing many of them

Right, is anyone playing the beta tonight? I have no idea how to invite people?

I've played three matches; it's pretty good so far. Sound effects seem a bit iffy and I got rubber banded to a railing for a minute requiring me to quit.

Apart from that it's great. 4v4, lancer and gnasher loadouts, boomshot, snipe, grenades in the usual places. It's TDM so people spawn behind you from time to time but the game does at least tell you. Got a nice sniper headshot on a guy trying to rush me down :D

I got my GOW download and unlock within about an hour of each other. I started playing it and my son walked into the room, asked me what I was playing, said it looked cool, asked to have a go and has been playing ever since. Bloody kids!

as far as i know only one of those games is priced at £54.99

my xbox is supposedly downloading gears beta at 13mb/s, i only have standard bt broadband 16meg! hope i get my activation code before it's done.

And one of them is £108.

You got that dash invite on account of heritage(surname). If you misstep I will Jon Snow you into oblivion. No more posting tonight.

Not one, but two, but three mega exclusives to be missing out on. On top of No Man's Sky.

I'm a very disappointed Xbone owner tonight.

I assume the exclusives you're referring to are:

Shenmue - You might have a new PC by the time that comes out - when are they going to start making that game?

Final Fantasy - Coming to Xbox after the PS4 release.

TLG - Not much I can say to console you with there.

As for No Man's Sky - Why not get Elite Dangerous? Today. Has No Man's Sky been confirmed to be a PS4 exclusive? I thought it was going to Xbox after a while.

I'm surprised you bought an Xbox and aren't excited by Halo5 or Gears or Forza or Tomb Raider or Rare's Pirates or 30 Rare games in one collection or ReCore from Metroid Prime's developers?! or your favourite 360 games coming to you Xbox One. You should totally trade it for a PS4.

I can't imagine wanting to exchange that list. Personally, I've never felt more sure that I bought the right system, this E3 is amazing for Xbox owners. Vive La Xbox!
