If you share them to Twitter (login to Twitter at an OS level via settings) you can access uncompressed versions that way - it posts a link on Twitter back to the picture on Xbox.com

Potentially daft Q but is your one drive the same MS account as your Xbox profile?

From the menu button you should be able to save and share all screen shots / clips. One of the sharing options is to upload to Onedrive.

Don't even bother with onedrive.

www.xboxdvr.com lets you download anything you have saved. Example:

The only compression here is the forum software.

New 1tb console announced with a matte finish and the new controller and MCC bundled. The new controller can take over the air firmware updates rather than needing connected to the console.

Nice, I'd love a bigger hard drive, and I'd especially love a matte black console. I hate the gloss look.

With regards to controller updates, I don't think I've ever had one. If any were available, would it notify me whenever I plugged the play and charge lead in?

No you need to do it manually - press the menu button then pick settings then go to "devices & accessories" and you'll see what to do from there. Obviously the controller has to be connected via USB at the time :)

So glad of the redesigned bumper buttons, i've always hated them due to the inconsistent and increased force needed should you press them towards the inner edge rather than outer.

So after spending $100 million on the controller redesign they've only now decided the bumpers need fixing...

Agreed, at least they're getting it sorted. I'm keen to try the new controller, I really don't get on with the bumpers on the current model, both in terms of the click and your finger position relative to them. It seems they've fixed the former but not necessarily the later.

The 1tb console and new controller. Personal preference and all, but it's not something I'd consider worth an announcement.

What's the harm? It's a relatively low key announcement covering a few things that some people care about.

You honestly don't want them iterating and improving it?

Do you seriously think they shouldn't have announced it?

Those have to be up there with the strangest digs at the Xbox yet.

Oh Jon. Of course it's good that they're being improved. This isn't about digs at the Xbox (I own two of the controllers), it's about wondering how the current bumpers (which are okay but could have been greatly improved like the other elements of the pad were) made it through in the first instance when spending $100 million.

I think they should have got them right the first time, especially considering they were one of the worst parts of the 360 controller after the D-pad, and was under the impression MS thought they were spot-on as they are.

I don't recall ever having any problem with the bumpers after the first day. I don't recall ever trying to press the bumper and it not registering.

However, many other people have complained and they haven't been able to adjust to the new bumpers. MS have listened, they've gone back and made a tweaked version that should (in theory) suit everybody. Or is this another case of MS listening to their users being a bad thing and something that they should be criticised for?

As I said above, there's nothing wrong with iterating and improving, I just find it surprising that the existing bumpers were the outcome of a $100 million re-design that included huge amounts of user testing, when the bumpers on the 360 pad were often criticised.
