Is it just me, or are the bundles worse now than they were in December?

It might be time to finally get a One, but I feel a bit put off doing so if I'm getting a worse deal than I would have 2 months ago.

Yeah there is a little known holiday in December and games console manufacturers and stores sometimes produce attractive bundles to entice shoppers to buy them as presents for the aforementioned holiday...

This practice has only been going for (checks c64 bundles) about 30 yrs?

(Apologies this comes over a bit more sarcastic than intended ;-) )

Since the last update my bone will occasionally just refuse to start any software. I have to do a full shut down and restart for it to work. Has anyone else had any problems?

I've had this a few times, only started when i used the standby mode thing...

I know. But it just seems mental to (in effect) make your product more expensive once demand has slowed down.

I'm not an economist. But I'm sure Microsoft have plenty on staff. What kind of economic sense does that make?

So that when they do another deal for another major holiday (say Easter) the drops look very good again, creating more demand.

There are still offers to be had if you keep your eye out. I picked up a new kinectless xbone without any games for £250 from Rakuten last week. They then also gave me £25 worth of super points to spend on their site.

I do have an external HDD but it's all been fine until the last update. I've constantly had the machine in the standby mode as well so I haven't changed anything in my set up and it only started doing this after the february update.

The last update caused problems for me as well. My Kinect doesn't work properly anymore and keeps on randomly disconnecting. That and some games wouldn't load.

I think the pads are fine. They've both been fine until this latest update. I'd actually had no problems for ages and then this February update has caused issues with the console if it's left in standby and caused the pads to play up.

Hopefully the next update will iron these out.

Showing as £399.99 now :(

It seems it was a price error but anyone who reserved has received the bundle at the £329 price.

I have one reserved at the Hamilton Palace grounds store for collection Friday 13th but unable to collect due to work commitments so anyone who can make use of the reservation number is welcome.

It's not helped here. I've had the disconnection notice more since the February update came out. Not very impressed at the minute.

That's a known issue its in the update notes. It says connect your pad for a few seconds via USB. They say they expect the subsequent controller updates will fail but they're working on an overall fix

One thing that's really annoying me is the game clips on items in the store. If I go to a game and select one I can watch it then straight after it shows the page with the selection where I was, the screen then goes black for a few seconds then reloads the game page with the selection right at the beginning. Doesn't matter which section or which game it's always the same, very frustrating if you want to watch several clips as it adds to the load time for no reason.

Are they good deals? Which would people opt for? I have little interest in both Forza and Evolve. But I really want GTA V (again) and Halo Collection (yes, again...). It's a shame those two aren't together.

Trading Evolve will net you more value than Forza 5 in GAME, which you can then use towards GTA V

Good thinking. But I just checked. The Halo console bundle is sold out in every single Argos in Greater Manchester :(
