What are people's thoughts on Kalimba? Sure I've missed it on sale recently but was watching some LP's of it the other night at work and it looks like my type of game. Challenging but with that "always another go" effect. Really shouldn't pick up any more games with the amount I have to play but can't say no to a decent puzzle platformer.

I was going to buy it but don't see the point. It is the reason I'm not fond of PS+ and Games with Gold giving away free games as they're more than likely the smaller indie games that I've already bought. Why should I buy something when it'll be free in a few months? It's a terrible attitude I know but it is what these promotions from the console manufacturers has fostered.

I agree completely; there have been to many instances of me buying games only to have them go cheap or free soon afterwards (the most recent example being shovel knight, which I bought for full price only to see it a 50% cut the very next day). For that reason I stopped buying smaller or indie games unless I knew there was no chance of going free any time soon.

Yes it is pretty bad but it is not our fault. Sony started this precedent and have seriously devalued indie games in the eyes of the public. At the end of the day I've bought so many of the things, only to have seen them given away for free shortly after that it has put me off buying them. I really want to support the smaller developers but there is no incentive to my bank balance. It sucks but this is what people have come to expect.

Sony had to do it because their PS3 network had no added value whatsoever and Microsoft had to follow suit to maintain parity with the next generation. To be honest I just wish Sony had dropped the free games when switching to a paid for subscription being required to play games but realise I am in the minority as can be seen on this very forum.

Sony who were long heralded as the saviour of indie gaming have done a damn good job of devaluing the product.

Level 3 - perfect run. Revival faster you can see me hesitate at points as I get my colour-swapping brain under control.

Fantastic, i was playing Local co-op with a friend and it may be one of the best co-op puzzle games ever made

I got d4 yesterday, games on gold.

I have enough halo already. I'll get 5 for the sake of completion.

Can I wait for crackdown 3 instead of overdrive?

I already have DC, TC, and NFSR. FH2 is a way off. And then it'll get bumped if there's a GT7. Sorry.

quite impressed with navigating the interface with just my voice - via kinect.

however i borrowed sports rivals from a friend - and boy is it shit. the kinect control is twichy and inaccurate - and just as bad as the first one. trying to do the shooting, or wave race bit was basically impossible.

I'm pleased MS got it out of the pack. other than the voice stuff, kinect is an abomination.

Loving the game cases though.

Not enough to leave the discs in them, obv. And I'd get around to setting up the Kinect but the other half is totally in love with the way the amazon prime app queues up the next episode (of scandal) without the need to select them. The ps3/4 version doesn't do that.

Also at least this pad has the good sense to turn itself off due to inactivity. Explains why people say it has a longer battery life.

Do I need the headset?

So I just had a great experience with MS customer service.

We bought COD: AW Season Pass on one account with the intention of playing it on other accounts too since for the most part games and DLC are shareable. However, I notice that the AE4 guns are still locked on non season pass accounts. I talk to Activision support who say they're still finalising how sharing will work with non season pass accounts. Maps will deffo be shared, early access to guns won't, new weapons that come with the DLC will probably be shared (I think the support guy didn't know, I assume they would be shared). Anyway, I thought I'd wait until closer to the DLC release date before purchasing as hopefully Activision might have some more info on the sharing policy by then.

Logged on with MS Support, explained why I wanted a refund (Activision not clear yet on how sharing will work) and I got refunded straight away. No quibble. THAT is how you do customer service!

If anyone bought Super Time Force or downloaded it when it was free via Games with Gold, Capy games just sent out a message saying the game will have a free update soon which turns it into the Ultra edition with all of the extra content and characters from the PC version.

Why on earth would you wait for Crackdown 3 when Sunset is absolutely bloody amazing. After playing that I worried for the future of the Crackdown franchise because Sunset has nailed open world traversal in ways that other games haven't. I never collect all the items in these games but because it was just so fun to simply move in Sunset I snapped up every last one.

As for Forza, You're right Sean, why should you get the best racing game this year when you have already have a collection of average racers. That is like saying you have The Green Lantern, Transformers 2 and Man of Steel on blu-ray so you don't need to see Guardians of the Galaxy.

Nah it is much better, Kinect Sports Rivals is just the worst piece of shit Kinect game. It just shows the exodus of talent at Rare that they've managed to make a game far worse than the previous two on more accurate tech. Play some D4 with your Kinect, now that is how it should be done.
