I’m sure she’s quaking in her boots, along with anyone who ever sold any novelty product with a funny name. Now that one incredibly creepy person on reddit claims that they’re an expert in checking the legitimacy of bath water, I bet her whole career will fall apart.

I like your sarcasm. I just find it weird that people would buy it, analyse it and then suggest a class action suit. It’s a tad bonkers but it is 4chan

So you all saw how that streamer lass sold her bath water? And we all laughed and she sold out?

Well...

She sold water from her bath . Her bath water.

I doubt this person is a molecular biologist, or did any form of test,  on the basis that he is a fucking idiot.

"anyone would be able to amplify and sequence the DNA in the sample and, in short, obtain her complete genotype".

Presumably to clone her as part of an unethical weapons program in order to protect Tokyo from biblically themed monsters.

announced on her Instagram that she would be selling her bath water to fans via her online store for £24 per jar. On its face, it’s pretty run-of-the-mill stuff

"...Delphine, who has built up a body of work that can be read as satirical..."

The whole thing is fucking ridiculous, but Jesus.

Body of work? Satirical?

There’s one other thing that’s important to understand about Delphine. She is, as Patricia Hernandez noted over at Polygon, a troll. Three weeks ago, Delphine posted a (NSFW) photo on Instagram, writing in the caption that if it got 1 million likes, she’d open up a PornHub account. True to her word, once the post accrued the requisite likes, she did create a PornHub account – and then she proceeded to only post non-pornographic videos that had suggestive titles. It was a wildly successful stunt, one that even PewDiePie got involved in.

That's pretty satirical.

Fifteen years ago perhaps. By now it's just something that hit the mark more sharply a generation ago, in its original form, than a rehashing through a modern portal.

Still, your man above is right, more fool me for clicking on the link to start with.

I don't understand what's wrong with that article? It's a perfectly good opinion piece on something going on in gaming culture that has broken out into mainstream coverage. The writer does a decent job of articulating the inherent sexism which is demonstrated by many people's reactions to it. And also clearly understands (unlike you, obviously) the satirical nature of the actions (she's literally selling water to satiate "thirsty" males).

Herpes can’t survive on a non living surface and can only be transmitted by skin contact, generally during kissing or sex. So there’s no way you could get herpes from drinking bath water, even if someone who did have herpes had bathed in it.

I'm now considering a Professor Puzzles branded line of infected used toiletries. How much would you pay for a wet wipe laden with hepatitis C? Can I interest you in a yeast infection? 25 squid per item no refunds.

I used to read medical research when I was working for the NHS. I have some very specific, totally useless medical knowledge now.
