Watch the 12 minute gameplay video as well, sold it to me, day one!

Seen as this game doesn't even have a full title yet and this is prob pre-alpha footage, you might be waiting a while till that Day 1.

There is no way this will be a launch title, probably more than a year away but certainly looks amazing and I'm Platinums biggest fan. Could well sell the console to me :)

Nintendo have paid for the services of one of the greatest action game directors in the world to make them an exclusive brand new game for their new game system and they couldn't even be bothered to mention it in their conference, we live in fucked up times

According to Inaba, when he was asked about the Pikmin similarities, he said it's different:

It's not funny anymore how much better Platinum is than just about any developer. They even outdo Nintendo themselves on innovation & fun, that much is already certain from watching that gameplay. The functionality seen in this project seems to be a candidate for being transferred to a Vita-as-controller concept in the future ;)

This video is excrutiating. Are all american games websites full of things like this? It's horrifying. Like BBC Breakfast News from the hell dimension

Yeah it's terrible isn't it? I think it's Spike TV rather than a regular games info site like GiantBomb, so I assume they have some pretention of being an actual news show. Perhaps they have the same three items on a constant loop 24 hours a day like News 24 :D

When I was a kid and used to design videogames in my scrapbook with jumbo wax crayons, one of them was called 'Swarm' or 'Hive' or something and you controlled a swarm of bees that could turn into a tank or a big fist like they used to in old Warner Bros cartoons. This reminds me a bit of that. I had no idea how it would actually work, but I was willing to give Nintendo 50% of all royalties.

This looks AWESOME.

I'm getting a Viewtiful Joe vibe from the graphics - especially that swordvault bit. Which can only be a good thing, of course.

Little King's Story was one of my favourite Wii games, and if this is half as good as that it'll be fantastic.

Hot damn! this so should have been at the press conference, best thing Nintendo have in development, Kamiya is going to go 6 for 6 and beat his mentor for consistency

Now all Nintendo need to do to get me to invest in their game system is crank out a constant stream of stuff like this.

I think one of the greatest aspects of this game, is the fact that it looks like a spiritual successor to Kamiya's own Viewtiful Joe series.

A series that's been sadly missed since its final instalment on the NDS, Double Trouble.

No, I don't consider Red Hot Rumble a true VJ game, as (A) it wasn't by Kamiya, and (B) it was a free-for-all brawler, rather than an action game having platformer bits like the previous parts.
