E3 - Sony Conference Thread (June 4/5th)

Good post Robo! I think they'll save The Last Guardian for TGS and focus on their western games more in L.A. They don't have many surprises left, but they might very well have the biggest and most solid line-up of the big three. Also looking forward to their more offbeat PSN titles, like Papo & Yo and The Unfinished Swan.

Even though the only current-gen home console I have is a 360, I'll probably be keener to watch Sony's conference since I bought a Vita in February and a lot of people have said that it needs more games in order to get people interested. Robo's post shows that there's already a fairly decent lineup planned, but Sony still need to communicate a strong message to the doubters...

2AM sucks :(

It will feel naughty and exciting staying up. Hope we see what Sucker Punch are up to! As well as Sony's other great devs. Big Vita lover here, so can't wait to see the next phase of games. Won't be surprised if we see GTA announced for it.

Good work on all the threads, Robo.

As an aside, what happened to Sarge?

Cheers. The Sarge took some time off to move to America I believe. But from the last post he made on his profile, when he was finally settled, I think he felt he was spending too much time posting on forums, and so decided to wind it down. I've seen him on Neogaf, but I don't think he's posted here much at all since the move.

He did say he'd be back for E3, but with it all kicking off tomorrow, it doesn't look like he'll be doing his usual thang. Anyway, I've been watching Layer Cake, listening to King Crimson and munching through a big bowl of cherries, so all told it's been a pretty cool Sunday. :)

The Sarge was awesome though, I miss seeing him just post as a regular member.

I wonder how busy this place will be? As Aimless said, we're probably going to be looking at a 5 am finish with all the usual delays and false starts, not to mention the sheer amount of news Sony likely has lined up. Come hell or high water I'll be awake and online for this, but I wonder how many others will!

I've been studying uniform acceleration all day long, with only the occasional glance at rllmuk to keep me company :(

If it's any consolation, I'll likely be up until the wee hours, as IE8 refuses to play nice with my lovely new news ticker... the bastard. <_<

Sooo tempted to just disable and hide the bloody thing for IE8 users... is it really too early to force chrome frame on IE8? :P

Launch title for PS4.

Quite honestly, I think that's what's going to happen in the end. I think the original vision goes beyond the capabilities of PS3, so why not bring it over as a PS4 launch title. It's a guaranteed way of grabbing the core audience day one.
