Popular Post Robo_1
Times: UK: June 5th 2:00 AM BST EU: June 5th 3:00 AM CET US: June 4th 6:00 PM PST US: June 4th 9:00 PM EST Video Streams: http://us.playstation.com/e3-2012/ http://e3.gamespot.c...erence/sony-e3/ http://www.gametrailers.com/e3/ http://www.g4tv.com/...ences/Sony/135/ http://www.youtube.com/user/E3 Sony are also going all out on streaming the show directly to your PS3. You can watch a live stream of the conference via Home (contain your excitement, I dare you ), and there will be an icon under the 'What's New' category of the XMB, which will pipe the entire show through to you. What Are We Expecting: Vita, Vita and more Vita. Saying that, there's been plenty of buzz about Sony upgrading their Playstation Plus service with cloud streaming and a more tiered price offering. Plus will also be announced for Vita. There's also going to be a host of games of course. Sony has the habit of revealing many of it's upcoming schedule ahead of E3, and this year has been no different. So far we've had: God of War: Ascension Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Sports Champions 2 The Last of Us The Last Guardian Sony Allstars: Battle Royale Sly 4 Ni No Kuni Dust 514 The Witch & The Hundred Knights Warrior's Lair Little Big Planet Karting Papo & Yo The Unfinished Swan Also hinted at, are new games from Quantic Dream and it's high time we hear what Guerrilla Games and Sucker punch are up to. The real meat of the show will be Vita though. Already it sounds as though Sony are going to be pushing the platform hard, with recent announcements/leaks including: Sly 4 Assassins Creed 3: Liberation Medal of Honour: Warfighter Sony Allstars: Battle Royale Ghost Recon: Final Mission Need For Speed Jet Set Radio Little Big Planet: Karting Call of Duty Bioshock Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection Lego Batman 2 Oddworld: Strangers Wrath Little Big Planet Killzone Phantasy Star: Online 2 Soul Sacrifice Urban Trials Rayman: Legends Retro City Rampage Sound Shapes Gravity Daze Guacamelee ...and a multitude of other smaller titles I'm also keen to see if they have any serious Playstation Suite announcements, and how much support that's getting. What We Got: Take a look at that list above, take a good look and then ask yourself why Sony chose to talk about just 5 of them... five.....F.I.V.E....fyyyyvvvvveee, God of War, Last Of Us, Sony All Stars, Assassins Creed Vita and Beyond (New Quantic Dream). No talk of cloud gaming initiatives, no remarkable new services for either PS3 or Vita announced, no Vita price cut (although an Assassins Creed bundle is planned), no shake up of the Plus service (although current NA subscribers do get Infamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Just Cause 2 and Saints Row 2) and no surprise exclusives. The only big surprise was a JK Rowling partnership on a new initiative called 'Wonder Book', which is a Move compatible children's book, which features plenty of AR tricks. Last Of Us was the star of the show, and shows that this is a surprisingly violent but markedly different game to Uncharted. Looks awesome. Overall though, this was a huge disappointment, and based on their release schedule, it didn't need to be. I honestly don't know what they're playing at, but to be frank, it was a waste of a great stage. Gutted.

MotiVater
Nice one. I'll be staying up for this one, I love me some E3
Keyboard Koala
Was thinking of doing the Nintendo one, but I've got exams to worry about, and just following E3 will take up enough time as it is. Seems like the departure of Sarge, has made other worthy men take up their responsibility though.
Vemsie
Good post Robo! I think they'll save The Last Guardian for TGS and focus on their western games more in L.A. They don't have many surprises left, but they might very well have the biggest and most solid line-up of the big three. Also looking forward to their more offbeat PSN titles, like Papo & Yo and The Unfinished Swan.
Keyboard Koala
Good post Robo! I think they'll save The Last Guardian for TGS and focus on their western games more in L.A. In other words, no Last Guardian for this E3... Well, we kinda saw that coming, didn't we?
Vemsie
It's not like I've seen Sony's presentation already. It's a thought, not a fact. l really hope we'll see a trailer of it at least.

Qazimod
Even though the only current-gen home console I have is a 360, I'll probably be keener to watch Sony's conference since I bought a Vita in February and a lot of people have said that it needs more games in order to get people interested. Robo's post shows that there's already a fairly decent lineup planned, but Sony still need to communicate a strong message to the doubters...
TheSlugFormerlyKnownAsNap
Let's hope there's good news on the Vita. As much as I like the console and some of the early games, things look pretty barren.

Epcotman
2AM sucks It will feel naughty and exciting staying up. Hope we see what Sucker Punch are up to! As well as Sony's other great devs. Big Vita lover here, so can't wait to see the next phase of games. Won't be surprised if we see GTA announced for it.
Robo_1
Thanks for the kind words folks. There's no better place to be than Rllmuk for these conferences, so here's to having a great - and a late - one.
Ferine
As the conference will start late, there's lots to show and Sony always stretches things out about an hour too long, we're probably looking at a 5AM finish.

Robo_1
Good work on all the threads, Robo. As an aside, what happened to Sarge? Cheers. The Sarge took some time off to move to America I believe. But from the last post he made on his profile, when he was finally settled, I think he felt he was spending too much time posting on forums, and so decided to wind it down. I've seen him on Neogaf, but I don't think he's posted here much at all since the move. He did say he'd be back for E3, but with it all kicking off tomorrow, it doesn't look like he'll be doing his usual thang. Anyway, I've been watching Layer Cake, listening to King Crimson and munching through a big bowl of cherries, so all told it's been a pretty cool Sunday. The Sarge was awesome though, I miss seeing him just post as a regular member.

Robo_1
I wonder how busy this place will be? As Aimless said, we're probably going to be looking at a 5 am finish with all the usual delays and false starts, not to mention the sheer amount of news Sony likely has lined up. Come hell or high water I'll be awake and online for this, but I wonder how many others will!

If it's any consolation, I'll likely be up until the wee hours, as IE8 refuses to play nice with my lovely new news ticker... the bastard. Robo_1
Launch title for PS4. Quite honestly, I think that's what's going to happen in the end. I think the original vision goes beyond the capabilities of PS3, so why not bring it over as a PS4 launch title. It's a guaranteed way of grabbing the core audience day one.
