If you’re a tech/intelligence build you don’t last long enough to look.

This was 5 mins after I left V's flat at the beginning and my Body level was like 4.

My body level is still only 6  I tend to keep all my attribute points saved up in case I get a stat check that requires chucking a few points into something

It's the last few boxing matches that I found ridiculous, at level 44 the animals one would still take 80% of my health in one swing (I only had 10 body).

Fortunately there's a Side Op that takes place in the same location, so I just made sure a few grenades landed near the champ, can't be a quest objective if you're dead!

My body level is 4 and I've finished the game. Honestly, fuck those boxing missions.

Turns out there's one specific ending I can't do on this playthrough. Time for a second run, this time with a lady V.

I really like the male V voice acting in this, he's genuinely great. Keen to see how the female voice performs. I also think I'll be happier with the character height as a woman, the male V in this is too short for my liking. I especially didn't like being called 'little man' by a nightclub bouncer in this.

Genuinely feel with each subsequent session that this will end up in my favourite games of all time. Have to pull myself away each time.

The world, the soundtrack, the missions, the side quests, the little side things for the police/fixers, the NPCs you see and chat with and the way they carry themselves like actual people. Loving every single second.

As others have mentioned it feels like a spiritual succession to the Deus Ex series, which are some of my favourite games.

I've encountered a few niggling bugs but not enough to dampen the absolute delight I have whilst in the game.

Its just fantastic piece of work.

CDPR are cunts, however. Can't deny that.

I started off determined to open world it, but I guess you really have to play this game a certain way for it to work.

The open world content is ultimately lacking. That said the world itself is incredible,  as everyone has already said.. It's got blade runner and mega city one and deus ex all mashed together. It's beautiful.

It's not an RPG though is it. You can't really do anything except play the game withing the confines of how they want you to play it.

This gives you leeway in some areas, speccing your character,  go quiet or loud. But not the depth you would expect from an RPG. The initial complexity is a little misleading.

That said the main missions and many of the side missions are great. And if you treat the incidental combat as just a quick way to earn some cash and xp they are fine.

I'm enjoying my sniper gameplay a great deal. Is it maybe too good at shooting people through cover?  Yes, bang one headshot and perp behind an armoured car and a wall is dead.

Guy gets too close and out comes the Katana and he's sushi. Very satisfying. And I haven't even got the slide slo mo thingy yet.

Speccing into intelligence and hacking now to mix things up a bit. That and following Panam around like a puppy.

This is spot on. As soon as I realised and accepted that I began having fun. As I wrote before, basically the game is a victim of CDPR's RPG/Openness/Freedom hype machine.

I really hate the Johnny Silverhands character. That’s fine, maybe I’m supposed to. I don’t mind the idea or that he’s there, but I hate the character.

He definitely grew on me. I liked him by the end of the game.

I just beat them earlier with body 6 but with gorilla arms. I bought them for the army guy who was a real shit.

I was probably mid 20s at the time.

that mission with the heist is the best I've had in the game by far.

It would seem I hated the gunplay simply because I am not spec'd for gun use or I just don't have any guns that are good.

I am more of a stealth-hacking lady ala girl with the dragon tattoo.

Did the latest patch fix the HDR?

It "added some warmth" to it, whatever that means.

I had my first amusing bugs last night. A random NPC spawned in a café I was sitting in, and then proceeded to slide out the door without moving his legs, so that was good. After that I left the café and summoned my bike, but the icon seemed to be stuck somewhere down the road. I walked towards it and found the handlebars sticking out of the bonnet of a car, which then exploded into the air to reveal the whole, pristine bike in its place.

To be honest I'm not complaining. :D

There is no New Game Plus, is there? After the credits the game tells me to go back and play unfinished missions, but as soon as I click on "Continue" in the menu it starts rolling out the credits again...

@vezna Yes, I found them tedious too.

Spoiler

You need to press the appropriate button to skip the credits, it should then put you back to asking if you want to go back to before the end mission, or simply go to the main menu. You need to select the former, and then save the game - it should keep your level if you levelled up during the finale, and depending on the ending you did you may have a bonus weapon/reward.

Thanks. So in this case I can go back to do side missions even though I'm past the "point of no return" (as I have obviously finished the game)?

Yes, and if at any point you want to see the ending again, or a completely different finale and ending, you can simply go back to to talk to Hanako Arasaka. I'm spoilering this as some may draw conclusions about how it ends from simply talking about it. :)

Hey am I supposed to be buying this new car? The Galena? Is there any other way to get a car? It will cost me all my money and looks more shit than even my previous car. I don’t get it?

EDIT: I see there's another quest that says I can wait for my car to be repaired. Maybe I will just wait for that I think.

Don't do it! You will be bombarded with new vehicles to buy throughout the game. If you don't have a vehicle, just steal a civilian car in a carpark, jack one if you have the body or steal gang members cars at the little kill missions out in the world. You will get fed more free vehicles as you progress. I wasted 25k on a heap of shit and havent bought a new vehicle since, better save your cash for cyberware or weapons at this stage.

Thanks for the advice! Confortable skipping it. I was all excited about the new car offer over the phone and walked all the way there trying to figure out the way to the parking lot. Took one look at the galena and went:

Yeah, the only vehicle I'd say you need to buy is the Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X motorbike (it's the Akira bike). You can get the car from the trailers (Quadra Turbo R V-Tech) for free fairly early on if you start the right side mission/gig - arguably the best car in the game. And you get a proper supercar (also for free) midway through the game as well.
