What’s better, super jump or double jump?

I have mantis blades, might switch them for gorilla arms as the gore is a bit too black hat for me

PS I found a revolver that does mad damage and shoots through walls infinitely so I’ve been doing Very High danger quests and just cheesing my way through. Takes forever. Leveling up quick tho

Think I'm done with this for a while. I just had a quest that involved infiltrating a facility. I had a wonderfully immersive initial stage during which I was hanging out with a key character performing reconnaissance and talking to them about their past. After deciding on a route in, I went over to actually attempt it, a vehicle got stuck in an Austin Powers reverse/forward/reverse/forward loop, every guard in the place stood completely still and I just wandered into the facility, hacked the thing I was meant to, and left.

It's completely summed up the experience of playing it for me. Fantastic immersion, suddenly shattered. A shame, but I'll look forward to getting back to it next year.

I found Skippy!

And thanks to some cyberware I got from a side quest, I can now just vaguely aim in a perps direction and pull the trigger...headshot!

Best quote from 'him' I had was "I'm sorry about that accidental discharge. That never usually happens to me"

WTF Spoiler that shit!?!

It's a tiny side quest, in fairness.

Yeah I just ran into the sidequest, and avoided it due to smac's spoiler.

Also I finally got: the car

Apologies; I thought it was vague enough a hint to leave in the clear. Sorted. I mean, I knew what was going to happen, but I went along for the ride.

Annoyingly,

Spoiler

I couldn’t stealth them and take them down non-violently, nor kill them after picking up my weapons.

They show on the mini map with the perk, they're red, are you sure they're not on there?

Yeah, when I've found them I've checked against the hud, and yeah, nothing flags them up. It feels as though the perk didn't properly instantiate :/

Its another sub optimal design feature - just like b for both crouch and fast forward - the red icon got any thing which might be manipulated.  Maybe, also  increasing tech also increases opportunities.

No, the red icons for hackables that get you cash show up in the real world, the other red icons show up in the scan mode. Sounds like you have the same bug as Wiper.

Finished it on a base PS4 after just under 40 hours. It was certainly an ordeal a lot of the time putting up with all the issues, but I never really wanted to give up on it. I've gone back since the end as well to do more of the side stuff I'd skipped before. So it's clearly doing something right. I could well be up for a fresh play through once I get a PS5 and some more significant patches come in.

I picked up a Legendary, tech sniper rifle. Charged shots - ouch!

I've been rocking a common tech sniper for ages and its such a beast. I've pretty much been able to 1 or 2 shot every enemy with headshots, its not that hard because they like to stand still or hide in combat. And when they're hiding they have no chance because I've usually hacked the cameras and tagged them all so their ripe little heads are sitting in cover just waiting for my charged shot to pop them. I've stopped using it so much cos its getting boring.

I've had a few smart weapons so far but they seem pretty crap to me, half the bullets just fly off into nowhere even within the rectangle and I haven't really seen them bend around cover or anything (yes I do have smart targetting cyberware equipped). I'm a pretty decent aim so I can do way more damage with a standard assault rifle. How have you folks been finding your mileage with smart guns?

Also pro-tip, if you are running a fragile kind of character, keep an eye out for armour cyberware, its dead cheap and doesn't need much stats/rep to buy.

I decided to change questlines and am finally in the badlands, nice change of scenery.

PS4 version is definitely feeling a bit better with the new patch, based on a few hours play. Still bug riddled though. I was so hyped when I first started playing the patch because it seemed better, only for my goodwill to immediately be shattered as my driving companion's body started twisting inhumanly like some kind of horrorshow in synch with when she was turning the steering wheel

@Alan Stock I’ve got a smart sniper rifle. It’s pretty damn cool. Will sometimes tweak someone right on the forebonce for ~3000.

Picked up a heavy MG in a bandit area in the badlands after doing 80% of the camp with stealth which was most amusing. But you can’t keep it. Just took it over to some Militech twats 300m away, and let them have all the explodey bullets out of it.

Now can someone help my brain with the haxoring grid thing. How come sometimes it will let you pick a number which isn’t on the code you have to match? And it pushes the required code sequence one over to the right. Is it only if it can see that you still have a chance of entering the rest of the sequence in order?

Seen alot of publications criticizing the game for its lack of information on many aspects of the game. Things like crafting to just understanding the map.

The game expects the player to actively invest their effort into figuring it out. Almost Dark Souls lite in some regard. I think what confused me at first was how some aspects of the game are handholdy at the and then others are just there if you want to explore and figure it all oot.

I think anyone saying there is nothing to do outside the story is smoking some bad crack mind, and once the crackers AI is updated/fixed it will only add to the immersion. Walked into a clothing store to hear people talking about what to buy which was excellent.

Even on PC with everything maxed out the game feels Early Access in many ways, but it is still incredibly magnetic. Going to be following the modding scene heavily on this one. Where mods make Skyrim playable, I think mods for this will make the game truly sensational.

I've been thinking about how all the various foods could be doing with differentiating a lot more. There are different cans of cola, but they give the same buffs. The consumables could be doing with a rework.

1.05 just finished downloading for me (PC).

Oh for sure. Honestly based on this whole debacle I think we will get significant overhauls for a while yet. It wouldn't surprise me if we end up getting the big expansions for free, bringing "Nice to Have" features to the game, including Cosmetic Salons, pachinko/arcade mini games, car customisation and so on! Would be ace to get some features like this.

I'd also like to be able to change UI colour, like Yellow and Blue etc.
