Similarly, though I've seen it recommended in here previously, absolutely avoid the crafting perk which auto-disassembles junk when you pick it up. It doesn't distinguish between normal (3e) junk and expensive (750e) junk, and trashes all of it just as happily for a handful of crafting components. Feels very much like there was an intention to have a distinct 'valuables' category, but it never got implemented.

Crap, didn't realise there was valuable junk. Too late for me, as soon as I saw that perk I was like oh goody, junk has a purpose! Doh.

Finally got it, thanks Royal Mail...

In the opening desert area as a nomad, everything on max settings, 1080/60, all running beautifully on a 1070. I'm guessing the tanking will happen when in Night City?

Yes it will!

Check the PC thread for tips on sorting the settings and configuration files.

I've gone back to very hard now. Still feel like most of the generic encounters are too easy. I want to stealth my way through but why bother when I can mince all the goons in a quarter of the time?

I made quite a lot of money from the junk early on, but selected the perk anyway. Upgrading gear is good, and you get xp for looting and converting it all. Money's not really a problem anyway.

You can sometimes get a bonus for doing things clean and quiet.

I got a warning earlier that I was carrying too much weight (bit personal...) so had to clear down some inventory.

I converted all my looted guns into parts and that solved the problem. Because components magically weigh less than assembled objects, naturally :)

Lore question: The word virtue in relation to braindancing (like 'viewing a virtue' has come up a few times) but I'm still confused as to what it is, the database is no help either. Is this explained, or become obvious over time? Its kinda annoying me because most other terms you can figure out pretty quickly in context.

'Virtu', I think it's supposed to just be like VR, a virtual world, as opposed to braindances which are much more sensory and real.

After recently starting Disco Elysium, I kinda wish there was way less combat and much more talking.

I'm surprised there's 15 perk trees but none for dialogue.

Apologies forum split the pics but I am in awe at some of the location design

Ha, I've just got there (kiddywinkles and real life getting in the way). So many deus ex vibes. Absolutely loving it. :)

I had an earlier side mission where I returned from the objective by climbing up onto the suspended lighting/cable runs and traversing over the server room. Totally DE: Human Revolution. Even the colour scheme was kinda yellow and black.

This really is one of the most diverse open worlds out there, I found the garish or industrial opening area (Watson) has actually been my least favourite.

Japantown with the close houses all dwarfed by the huge structures around was great, there's the corporate campuses in Westbrook, the Badlands and all the different areas, and I just visited Pacifica for the main plot.
